These were very inexpensive at less than £20 and they are excellent. Soft fleece lining and tough-seeming Goretex-type shell with a leather palm. I was expecting some sign of use or some cosmetic defect but mine seem brand new, unissued and perfect. They keep my hands warmer than conventional fingered gloves but you lose quite a lot of control and dexterity so not suitable for any sort of task that involves manipulating things with your hands. There are elastic loops so they can hang from your wrists if you need to take them off to pick up dog poo (for instance) or open/close a gate. Also because you don't have much fine control of your fingers you have to be careful not to drop things. This is true of all mitts and the upside is they are warm, easy to take on and off even if your hands a a bit wet. I recommend them and use them a lot if its really cold outside.

Good quality warm waterproof

I bought these as over mittens as my so called winter gloves were useless in temperatuires below 10C.Fortunately there was enough room for the gloves. Brilliant.

Whilst slightly large,they are well-made. Used on a long run in the rain and my hands remained dry and warm

I bought these mittens to go over another pair of gloves - but they were just not quite big enough, despite me ordering the biggest size. The quality is fine though so if you have got smallish hands, you'll be fine

They seem to be well made with a tough fabric and leather palms so they should last for some time. They are warm and comfortable and certainly seem to be good value at the price. I can’t tell you if they are waterproof yet but I bought this pair for dog walking and my hands were comfortably warm while I was out. I also tried them out in the car and they were so much better than the gloves I had used, that I have ordered a second pair to replace them. Update*** The 2nd pair arrived and unfortunately they were not as well made as the 1st pair. The stitches around the finger areas are messy and uneven, this results in them being uncomfortable when you put them on as there is not enough room for your fingers. I will still wear them for driving but I wouldn’t want to wear this pair for a long period.

The position of the thumb is a bit awkward

I have just received my surplus goretex gloves. They are a good fit , well made & represent very good value.As mittens they are mittens they do not offer the same dexterity as fingered gloves but they are very warm and waterproof ideal for when conditions are really bad. Highly recommended.
