Did the job

Somehow we lost our former headset jack converter, and I had to order this as a replacement. Can’t complain too much about this jack converter other than that it took three painful weeks to arrive. It was the cheapest option, and seems to do its job well. There is not much to it. The jack seems sturdy and durable and it fits well on both ends. Most importantly, it keeps all of us sane and our living-room quiet when our young video game-addicted son is playing (or one of the children is homeschooling).

I noticed straight away that the 3.5mm jack didn't sit snug in this adapter but the sound was ok initially. When I moved the device I realised that the connection was very loose - crackling, dropped signal, inconsistent. I tried it with loads of other small jacks just in case it was my headphone jack that wasn't right - despite it fitting my computer, phone and pad - but not a single 3.5mm jack sat comfortably in the adapter. I tried TRS and TRRS jacks but the result was the same and it prevented me from using this for the intended job.Basically this is not fit for purpose and shouldn't be on sale in the first place. Not worth the hassle of sending it back so it'll go in the bin.
