Pairs very easily with the alarm (took less than 30 seconds). Quality appears to be quite good and the construction is decent so durability should be fine as well. It will arm and disarm the alarm for quite some distance (not measured) but at least 100 feet or more in a parking lot test. It uses an A27 type miniature 12 volt battery which, in my opinion, SHOULD last at least a couple of years, but the one that came installed in the alarm's original remote (already active when I got it from Amazon) only lasted about 4 months before it dropped below 11 volts and the remote's operation became erratic. I suggest getting a couple of extra batteries and keeping them handy just in case. That's the only fault I've found so far and not bad enough to keep me from giving the little remote a 5 star rating. I certainly recommend getting one as a spare or as as a second person's remote if necessary. We'll see how the battery holds up in this one.

I love the bike alarm and remote control except for one thing: the plastic "loop" on the remote broke, and I subsequently lost it with the alarm ARMED! I'm working with the company about how to pair the two, hopefully without going deaf. I'm going to put the remote on my keyring with a plastic zip-tie. The alarm itself is great--I have not had to recharge it yet and I feel that the bike is much more secure when left in a public place.

This is my second one of this brand because I lost me original remote. I use it for my e-bike and it is mounted UNDER the seat. I like that it is very loud.

Didn't come with instructions to pair with my existing alarm. I had to check other reviews for instructions. Once I had those, though, the process was easy and it works great now.

these bike alarm remotes work great and easy to pair with my POWVINE bike alarm. Just press the button on the bike alarm, then press the BELL button on the remote and they are paired. Easy.

Alarm loud and works good!

I tried EVERYTHING, even researched it on line. Couldn't get it to pair. What a shame because it was a great little system. Now its just junk. Sending back the new (Useless) replacement remote....
