Hunter x Hunter, Vol. 21 (Volume 21): Reunion Paperback – 1 July 2008

My daughter loves this series having also watched it as an Anime. Collecting the manga now.

It's a great read but I had this nagging feeling of power creep. The villains start to become so powerful that Gon and the gang seemingly need almost godlike powers to stand up to them. This might lead to issues later on when one just can't bring out any tougher villains without it seeming absurd.

The setting and the characters made it really interesting.immense amount of character development in this volume, especially with Kil who seems to have finally overcome what was essentially brainwashing by his older brother Ilumi, and now should be able to fight without any unwanted handicaps - and get the chance to reach his true potential.
