This machine punches its weight !
This is described as a heavy duty piece of equipment and it is in all senses of the word. It's well engineered, solid, heavy and I've no doubt will stand up to the rigours of a busy office environment very well . What I do like is that if at some time in the future there is a need to replace any of the usable bits i.e. the punches and punch boards they are easily obtainable. I've used the smaller two hole version of this punch for a number of years now without problems and I'd very much recommend this larger version on the basis of my experience to date.

Very efficient. We will see how long the tips last
Arrived razor sharp and punches 100 pages no problem. 140 is achievable but it's struggling.Already feels like it's lost some sharpness after about 500 pages. We will see how it lasts as the cutter tips are not cheap.

One of my best office purchases ever
I bought this product in preference to an electric version because it had larger page capacity and the reviews for electric versions were not great. We have been running our small business for 20+ years and on this occasion were producing an 11,000 page technical manual for a client, so it had to look professional. I had not appreciated, though, how much time this hole punch would save us, not only in punching the sheets but also a lot of time unjamming the smaller versions. We now use it for all our documentation, however big or small. No more ragged alignment!

Will cut holes through what ever you can fit in the gap... with ease
This isn't a Punch its more like a paper drill it does an excellent job, and as it says on the box it will make holes in 191 sheet at the same time no messing, I am using 8mm drills and they can block a little too easy however this is only a slight disadvantage compared to paying for a professional service, easily removed drills can be cleaned out in seconds with a small pick.

Good bit of kit
I just don't understand why this terrible thing cannot cut cleanly through 4 sheets of 160 gsm paper! It doesn't, even with new discs, but it leaves all the paper in the holes, and doesn't cut the bottom sheet cleanly through!!How ever much two-handed brute force I use.I bought it to use the 8mm cutters, and it is a total waste of £150 it all cost.I now have to take all my work to the local commercial printers to drill. Also note that Rapesco say if it breaks, they don't sell spares, you 'just' throw it away and buy another. There's service for you!!Many years ago I bought a 6mm four-hole punch - Twinlock 5104 that has adjustable punches - and that still does the job, cutting easily through 4 sheets of 200 gsm paper at a time. Something this Rapesco thing couldn't even look at as far as I can see. It's Rubbish.

Good but theres a possible floor
Good tool just be aware the receiver plates wont last long if your using it daily. Which is a bit of a let down. There a rubber plastic type plate which marls with every press. Which eventually prevents it cutting the hole. Shame as the rest is very good qualityLess than a year later we dumped it. Weak poor design not for a busy office maybe ideal for home or lesser use

Does the job well enough
I've tried this with around 80 pages and it punched through them with no trouble whatsoever. It's easy to use, the side block makes aligning the paper straightforward, and with two hands bringing the bar down you can effortlessly punch through a lot of paper in one go.I wouldn't call it obscenely heavy, but it is bulky; it's probably not going to fit in a drawer, it's more likely to stay put on a surface top for its lifetime.Whilst I can't fault it on its hole punching, I can't glowingly recommend it simply because for the retail price, you'd hope that the very least it does is punch holes through paper with ease! It's not a particularly smart or stylish design, it's mostly plastic (presumably to keep the weight down) and hence it doesn't look or feel like something that costs hundreds of pounds. The bottom line, however, is that if your working day involves a lot of filing, this would probably save you a lot of time and wrist pain.
