Not worth the money
very disappointed with the quality of this item, I think Kodak name must have been bought by someone, as it does not seem to be of the quality you would expect from Kodak. It did not really work with slides or negatives. Still waiting for my refund.

It’s a bulb in a cardboard box
It illuminates slides. As for supporting a mobile phone, not so clever especially for iPhones which need the extenders as they don’t focus at short distance. I ended up just holding the phone freehand.

No so great
This seems to be something of a Box Brownie. It’s easy to put together but I wasn’t expecting to find cardboard collars to create space between the phone and the slide. My results weren’t great but I accept that part of this was due to having 1/2 frame 35mm slides as a source. This means half the area (maybe 1/4 of the resolution of a full 35mm slide). The software was ok I might try using it with colour negatives. After trying this I bought a £20 light box and was getting better results that with this product.

How was it?
For me. The App doesn’t work as per instructions. My best results were achieved using the Scanner unit and camera on phone, bypassing the App.
