The Perfect Multi-Purpose Kitchen Accesory
Having had a "compact" George Foreman as my only kitchen appliance during my time at uny, I know that a George Foreman is a great multi-purpose that is very durable and by far the best and most reliable affordable grill product on the market. As my uny days are now long gone, but I don't yet have a family I was looking for the best George Foreman that would cook for a few people, cook a larger meal in one go and basically just do exactly what is says on the tin: That is heat up to a super hot temperature very quickly, be easy to clean and also be big enough for me to cook lots of food in the space (e.g. about four burgers or two chicken quarters or some of the above including veggies).I was advised that the grill and melt and removable plate models take a while to heat-up and sometimes have other problems too, so I thought, so as to avoid problems further down the line, it would be best to steer clear of any unnecessary features. With some research I found that this model appeared to be the most popular and well rated model withing the bracket of what I was looking for.I have now had my grill for 2-3 months and it is AMAZING. To put a long story short, it does exactly what it says on the tin (or more literally the box). It takes less than 1-2 minutes to heat to a 'sizzle on contact' temperature, it cools down quite efficiently and also provides a surprisingly large grilling surface for what is otherwise a pretty compact grill. The non-stick coating is so great you don't need the grill and melt feature, the grill can have direct contact with cheese and cause no sticking or mess (beyond lovely sticky crunchy cheese on your sandwish or burger that is). The grill is just enough to grill a whole fish, or 4-6 strip cut salmon fillets. I most commonly use it to grill one or two pieces of meat with a good portion of veg on the side.Anywho... if your beyond your uny days (cooking for one person only and only every one meal of toasty at a time) and you want to upsize to something that is generous but not exactly family size or 'heavy duty' entertaining yet. This is your grill!I give this grill 5* and a grilled cheese and onion toasty.

The Lean Mean Amazing Grilling Machine
Got this over a week ago now and thought I would put it through its paces before giving a review. After having nothing but grilled sandwiches at my dads since he got something like this I decide I would invest in my own. After looking around for just a sandwich maker, I found a lot of them were in removable plates or with no grill lines on at all. Finally gave in when I saw how cheap this was (Got it on deal for £[]!)Got it 2 days later (awesome delivery time) Basically, first thing i made was a cheese and ham grilled sandwich...does the job great. Just remember to put enough butter on the bread before hand so it doesn't burn! Also, I've noticed people had a hard time not burning things, just keep an eye on it at all times. Sandwiches are usually done within 3-5 minutes depending on how golden you like them. I've also tried a chocolate spread sandwich on there...was pretty good apparently(not for me)Tried this out on sausages, does the job great. Took 10 minutes compared to having to watch and grill them (and get worried about the spitting) Great sausages, just remember to cut them to make sure they are warm before eating!Just used this on some gammon steaks and boy does it grill them to perfection. No more do I need to go to a local restaurant to be able to get a great gammon. I think this took about 15 minutes since I did it right from frozen. Again, just make sure you oil the grill before you actually put something on it. Not to much since the fat itself will take over. The grill gave some perfect lines on the steak along with some great brown crust (what can I say I like them golden brown)All in all a great machine and I've no idea what I'd do without it now. Just be sure that you are willing to keep an eye on the cooking times and dont be afraid to lift it up and look while cooking. And make sure you let it cool before you decide to clean the grill itself. A must buy for any meat/sandwich lover.

Great size and price
Would be better if there was a lock on it as getting it in and out the box is a little tricky as it flaps open. Lead is also very short so make sure you have an electric socket and space close by. We have to have ours at a funny angle which is a little annoying. Also a temperature gauge would be nice - chicken only takes about 10mins or less to cook through, but the outside can go a little blackened (we like to put spices, etc on it to flavour), but this can sometimes catch. Comes with a small recipe book with ideas. Like the drip tray for fat/liquids to drain. Easy to clean - just wipe with damp cloth just before it has completely cooled down.Tip: Very good for making toasties/ panini's. Can get 2 pieces of normal size bread next to each other so can do 2 at a time :o) If you have a smaller kitchen with less space, this is one less appliance you will have to buy.
