Amazon Basics Double-Door Folding Metal Dog Crate, 36x23x25-Inches

I bought this crate for our 8-week old French Bulldog puppy. I'd debated for a long time whether to get this size or the smaller one, as searches online has suggested both sizes. However, I'd been told by a few people to get one as big as you can cope with in your house so we opted for the medium size (36"). I'm so glad we opted for the larger size. It's perfect for our puppy as she has a bed area, and a food/water area. It will still be perfect for her when she's fully grown.She took to it straight away and will take herself off there for some quiet time or a nap.Size wise, the width fits a broadsheet newspaper sheet perfectly with about another 3" spare on the length.It was really easy to assemble, I haven't taken it down to assemble it again yet though. Easy to clean the plastic tray with a quick spray of pet friendly cleaner.

Well made, easily foldable. Fits at the back of the estate Kia ceed perfectly. Doggo loves it. Sleeps in it comfortably. She's a 19kg Borador so slightly larger than a small border collie and slightly smaller than a labrador. She can turn around and sleep.You dont want anything too big otherwise your dog will have a pooping place as well ad a sleeping place. It needs to be cosy like a den.You do get a dividing barrier if you have pups so you dont have to buy a bigger cage later and you can slowly increase their space as they grow. all in all an excellent purchase

I purchased this crate for my Cocker Spaniel puppy. It was fairly easy to assemble by myself, the only somewhat difficult part was putting the clips to hold the crate together into place without hurting my fingers a bit. It's the perfect size for my puppy to be able to sleep in his bed on one side, and pop his food and water bowl at the other if he needs to be left in there for a while overnight. It should still be big enough for him when he's grown up, which is a bonus, and the fact it has two doors is very handy and makes it easy to be able to remove puppy's bed or bowls when necessary without having to clamber inside from one end of the crate. The divider was easy to put into place, although I decided we don't really need to use it, it's handy to have just in case. The crate is sturdy but pretty light and easy to move across the room. My only small complaint is that the door locks are a bit difficult to open and close, they take a bit of wiggling but it's not a major issue and overall I'm very happy with the product for the price. I would recommend.

I’m quite impressed by the cage. I have a 16kg 14 month old Working Cocker Spaniel. So he’s hardly a bruiser, but he fits perfectly in the 36” cage. He can stand, move about and lay down completely flat. I originally ordered the 48” cage but that was just palatial and I needed another sniffer dog just to find my dog in there!The double doors with double locks are easy to operate and very simple to lock. The cage feels strong and sturdy, but my dog doesn’t chew it, or bash it about. I’m very lucky he just lays there and goes to sleep. So for us it’s perfect. I’m not sure how it would stand up to a more demanding dog, it’s only a thin wire cage with some flex to it.I’ve put a mat and bed in mine, as the cage does not include one. It does come with a solid plastic base, but that’s all. I’d be happy to recommend to others that have docile dogs. I think you’d need something a bit more stronger, if your dog is the kind to crash it about inside and try and chew the bars.

Nice and sturdy cage. Feels very strong and took 2 minutes to build. I’m using it for my Shiba Inu and my Chihuahua to share and there’s plenty of extra room, I even fit a food and water bowl at the front of the cage which clip on to the bars (not included). My dogs used to have individual baskets next to my bed but this is much nicer, also doubles up as extra bedside table space - will use it to stand my iPad on when watching stuff in bed. Might cover it over with a blanket to make it more den like. Great size too, measurements were accurate but in my opinion this size cage would be too small for any dog bigger than a staffy, for example

This was very well priced and is a nice cage, only issue was the side clips on one side were in wrong position so clashed with horizontal bars of both ends so was impossible to fold up/lock in place as it came.I realised the problem and got a big pair of pliers to bend the end clips down to clear the end bar, so this is now fine, but not easy to do and most people I suspect would just have returned this.Once sorted, its a nice cage, folds up/down easily, the handle is a bit random as doesn't really work wherever you clip it, I think its more decorative.Overall for price the cage is fine, if you don't mind fixing it yourself, hopefully I was just unlucky and others are fine.Pic shows how far I had to bend the loops, they were horizontal which clashed with the horizontal wire of the end panel, which it now only just slips under to allow end panel to slot into position.

Received the product on time and once you've sussed the way it unfolds, it's simple enough to assemble. Both doors locked/unlocked no problem and the tray at the bottom slid in and out easy enough too.Unfortunately, once assembled, I found lots of sharp edges located in various places around the crate, both inside and out. I actually cut myself on one sharp edge which was at the entrance of the front gate. There's no way I'd risk injury to my puppy so I've sent this back for a refund.We bring our pup home in a few weeks and do need a crate. There were a number of reviews on here stating there were no sharp edges on their crates so maybe I was just unlucky with mine.This product has 4.8 stars off, over 7,000 reviews so I'm going to order another and keep everything crossed that the next one I receive has no sharp edges!
