Battery is old
Battery came today in good shape still in the original packaging but when I look at the date code, this battery is two years old already That doesn’t make me real happy

Failed after ONE USE!
The media could not be loaded. Highly highly highly don’t recommend the 4.0ah version. What the heck! I only use Metabo HPT (formerly Hitachi) and I snagged a 4.0ah battery so I could use some heavier-duty tools longer (angle grinder, 2000 lumen work light, etc.). But only after 1 single use, this 4.0ah battery no longer works at all! Won’t charge! And the battery meter button doesn’t result in any lights showing up (0%). It is a dud. 100% dead paperweight. Really sad and pathetic for $100 + tax.

Safari is turned out to be a good battery unlike the ones bought in Lowes

Poor quality
I had one 4.0 that came with my nailer i decided to buy a second one because they are lighter than the 5.0. Mv batteries i have.This one only functions down to 50 percent then it's dead. I have 5 dead 2.0 batteries that didn't even make it more than 5 charge cycles. As a general contractor i have never had such poor battery quality in any brand as I have with metabo. I have 19 batteries and now 7 duds in no time.
