Extremely useful at this price point!
Firstly I’ll start with the negatives. As you can see from the pic the raised holders encroaches a little onto the screen. While this is needed for balance it can be a little annoying for apps which require you to tap the lower half of the screen. A useful addition would be some kind of cushioning to raise it half an inch. As others have said, the clip that holds the top of the tablet could scratch the back or front. I have screen protector for the front so that is not an issue for me, but I do wish it could’ve housed my case. However these are minor issues. It feels sturdy the moment you take it out of the box. My first impressions were good and although the points above could be seen as a negative for some, the benefits of this tablet holder outweigh those negatives. When I first adjusted the legs I was sat on the sofa. Once I had it at the right height across my lap (all of about 15 seconds) I began using it like I normally do. After about 10 minutes I had forgotten that it was even there, it felt so natural. One of the things it did was allow me to adopt a natural position rather than slouched down. My next position was to lie on the sofa and sure enough the use again was far more comfortable and again natural rather than having to bend my wrists. At this point I discovered the slight hinderance of the bottom holders but it wasn’t major as I also realised that I was definitely keeping it. Of course the main reason was to use it while in bed. So simple! I adjusted the legs a little higher to take into account that I would be lower down and I’m typing this review now with ease! I do have a Bluetooth keyboard and as one reviewer said there is no option to attach a keyboard, but then at this price point I wouldn’t expect there to be one. It ticks nearly all of the boxes I need it for. No neck strain, no wrist strain, flexible, ergonomic, easy to use and comfortable. It’s not perfect but it is extremely useful.NB. I’ve upgraded my 4 stars to 5 stars as the problem of the holders at the for the bottom of the tablet (in this case an iPad Pro) is non existent when the tablet is in portrait mode.

Developed Solution
I have Parkinson's disease and spend a fair bit of each day waiting for the medicine to kick in and reduce my tremors - when it comes to tablet stands I have, believe me, tried literally dozens: Tablift is not a 100% solution, but is the closest I've come. The slots which hold the tablet are intelligently angled so I can avoid glare on the screen: adjusting the tension by simply winding the clip cord around the main body is inspired - simple and effective. The legs are really strong and genuinely stay put when set. I would have liked a couple of inches variable extension on each leg, as sometimes making the Tablift span my body lowers it quite a bit - not quite a problem but nearly. All in all, this is a very well designed solution that is excellent value for money at the price and will make a real difference to your viewing and reading

An excellent and durable solution to supporting my iPad for regular prolonged use.
The Tablift Tablet Stand has proved an excellent solution for me. I looked for something to support my iPad when I was getting a pain in my left arm from constantly holding my iPad Air 2 - reading or streaming in bed and often lying on my back. The Tablift provides really effective flexible support for my iPad. It is strongly constructed - very pleasing, and I am confident it is built to last. It allows the iPad to be angled so as to read when sitting up in bed, or whenever lying at different angles - even when flat on my back. When lying on my back the Tablift would ideally have longer legs, but it is fine when placed on a pillow. This product really works for me.

Listen to your body
After recovering from a two week long neck injury, resulting from regularly being slumped on a bean bag whilst browsing my iPad, I sought to find a tool that would allow my body to remain more true to its natural dynamics. This ugly thing is incredibly functional, as it allows me to comfortably lie down in bed while I browse websites or watch a film on my iPad, as before.Since using this system I have avoided unnecessary lower or upper back flexation, my neck is not left stiff after a two hour session, and my elbows are no longer left raw and aching from having to rest on my belly, or side. This is undeniably a good thing! One thing though: In my opinion, the female model used in the original advertising campaign was more my fantasy girl than the one chosen to adorn the advertising for the shipped product - so it only gets four stars !Pros:• Ergonomically sound• Good price• Elastic cable still taunt after two years repeated flexingCons:• Not made in the USA any more• Takes up space when not in use (heed, single room renters)• Female final packaging model not my fantasy favourite :((
