High quality practice suit
My son swims on the high school swim team and he needed a new practice suit. This TYR suit is thick, made well, and fits him perfectly (5'11", 155lbs) and the color is as described. This particular suit is his go to for practices and meets where he isn't using a tech suit due to its thick material and well constructed lining, keeping things where they are supposed to be and not risking exposuse of private areas.

Good suit - comfortable and functional
I've owned my TYR jammer suit for about two months and it has met or exceeded my expectations. My weekly average is about two hours of lap swimming, divided into three sessions on separate days. I don't consider this time period sufficient to review durability or longevity.Comfort: the comfort level is excellent, as evidenced by the fact that I almost never think about the suit when I'm in the pool. The suit neither rides up or down during use, and it stays flat to the body and streamlined. The leg openings seemed tight at first, but once the suit is on and the swimming has begun there is no discomfort there.Fit: I normally wear trousers and shorts size 34. However, my experience with athletic swim gear is that the garment is small compared to the stated size. So, I bought this item in men's size 36 and it is a very good fit for me. So you might say that the fit was "to expectation", but the expectation was that the suit would be on the small side.

Comparison with Speedo Race Endurance +
The last time I needed a new suit, I purchased the Speedo brand equivalent (Race Endurance +) of this suit. At the time I purchased the Speedo, I wore a size 38 waist, and so I purchased one size down because in the past, I've found that one size down from my pant size usually works for competition suits. In the four months that I used that suit, I dropped down to a 36, and so when it came time for a new one, I figured 34 ought to be the right size. In retrospect, I should have purchased the 36 for the TYR brand. What I love about this suit:The material is a polyester blend which holds its form and color very well. The material also dries very quickly, and this is important because putting on a wet suit is a pretty awful feeling. The suit is tight enough to keep my business in place without being restrictive. When I get out of the pool, the suit doesn't suck up against my man bits to reveal a profile of what I've got going on, even after it's broken in.What I don't love about this suit:The waist is a bit tight, but I have myself to blame for this problem. The closure on the thighs are very tight at first almost to the extent that I would have to cut my workout short to avoid a complete cutoff of circulation, but this ameliorates over time. Even swimmers with smaller waists than mine could have more muscle mass in their thighs, and this makes the design problematic. For this design flaw, I drop one star. How it measures up against Speedo's Endurance Race +:I would give Speedo the nod overall, but not by much. When I purchased my Speedo, it was less expensive than it was when I bought this TYR. I would feel comfortable buying either again, and cost will be the sole factor in making that decision.

Almost 1 year in and going strong
These are true to size, and are streamlined in the water without having to show a lot of skin. It is durable and keeping shape even though it's been almost 1 year. I got the black one. The ones with seams on your hip flexors look weird.

TYR Garments Work For Me
Hi Everyone,TYR garment fit well and the materials are ideal. I have been a fan for a number of years. In Ironman events it's a long day no matter how quick you are. They are usually with me from start to finish. Yes they do seem to last with all the punishment given to them. Yes I am a TYR fan, try them and you will agree.Arnold L.

Love these!
Perfect for swimming laps at the gym very light weight material and feels great. They look amazing wearing them as well. They are good compression but not see through or anything and definitely shapes around your body front and back.

just ok
quality is not bad (last 6+ months), almost uncomfortable thick for warmer weather (outdoor summer swim) and for me really really tight above my knees
