I have struggled with keeping my super long, heavy hair up in a bun without having to redo it several times a day as I work 12+ hour days. I had been buying expensive ballerina square topped, long hairpins that worked well but I would end up losing at least one a day and they were $1 each. OMG these are just what I’ve been needing!! You screw them into your bun (I use 3 or 4) and it holds all day. To get them out so you don’t end up with a tangled mess, this is important - you find the closed end and unscrew the opposite direction from when putting them in and they easily come right out. I haven’t yet had problems with tarnish or rust, but I’m sure they will eventually. You get so many for this price that’s not a problem for me. If they tarnish, rust or start to snag my hair I’ll just throw those away. Plus they do not fall out so I’m not loosing any that way either. The color doesn’t match my hair but they get buried enough into your hair it really doesn’t matter. I don’t have any other brand to compare with - it sounds like Goody has good ones as I read reviews here, but with these you get so many for just a few $ more. I feel like I have a lifetime supply with 20 of these even as I pitch the ones that start to wear out or degrade. So happy I discovered these!!

It’s the best kind of pins to hold up any kind of hair. Doesn’t pull, doesn’t break your hair like elastics, easy to use for many different styles and because you twist them in they don’t fall out.

These are made of good quality material. You get a lot of pins for the price. They’re good sized pins (many spiral pins are “mini” and not good for someone with thick/long hair), these are not “mini” pins. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the description says rose gold and these are definitely not rose gold. They are a bright, shiny yellow gold color. Not even the slightest hint of “rose” gold. BUT for the value, I can deal with them being the wrong color.

O will never go back to Bobby pins for my hair bun. These things are amazing. I have very fine but plentiful long hair. 4, or 5 of these will keep my hair tidy for hours , even while on stage in a play. They rarely fall out of my hair, very reliable. I have recommended them to a theatre hairstylist who had never tried them. Now she’s a convert! Excellent product!

I have long hair. They work but too short to hold allot of hair

I bought a pair at Walgreens for almost the same price as all of these and then have not seen them since. Use one top down and another bottom up for perfect French twist.

Love this product... I had a bunch of these before I lost them all in a housefire. Attempting to purchase these in our local stores was futile. It seems noone sells them any longer. I was thrilled to find them at Amazon., and am wearing some right now as I type this with my long hair in a bun.They are extreemly easy to use, don't get tangled in your hair and great for holding power if you have thick bulky hair long hair yet want to pull it up in a bun without it dragging down to the nape of your neck.These particular pins are a good grade of shiny metal also.... very attractive yet strong.
