Works great on Fluval 207 canister
This fits perfectly to replace the standard filter guard on the Fluval 207 canister filter. It keeps debris and little critters from getting sucked into the canister. I just remove and rinse it when I do water changes once a week.

Works well.
Very easy replacement. Works well and is much easier to clean than the OEM intake screen/valve assembly.

Baby Shrimps
Works great. Kept most of the baby shrimps from getting into the filter. A few very tiny ones do slip by.

Fits Fluval intake. Not same quality.
Fits Fluval, but no valve Finer mesh. Easily clogged.

Perfect
So this fit perfectly over my intake valve. And i haven’t had a single shrimp end up in my filter since adding this to my shrimp tank. And it’s so much easier to clean. The sponge filters always clog quickly, and my tank would dirty faster. So I felt like I was constantly cleaning the tank.

Does the job
I needed a replacement piece for my Fluval intake pipe. This one cost way less and does the same thing as my original intake. I keep a sponge on mine but this one is under the sponge. I would say it won't allow anything to get into the intake but since I have some shrimp, I like to use the sponge as well.Great quality and correct in sizing.

ok product, but not exactly for my needs
I have turtles, and they like to chew the OEM Fluval intake baskets and so i am replacing them +/- every month.I tried this one since it has less corners they can get ahold of and it is cheaper. The fit on the intake is good. The product appears 3d-printed, so you should be aware of that going in, there will be some minor flaws in the finish but that’s fine for this type of thing. My issue is that the holes are so small, the type of debris you find in a turtle tank gets stuck in the holes and eventually reduces flow rate/clogs. I am thinking of drilling out some of the holes to be larger because other than this issue, it seems good for my needs.Price vs the OEM part was favorable and it does indeed have less corners for the turtles to chew.I really need a metal version of the OEM one but that would probably cost a few hundred dollars to get fabricated and getting a good fit.I think for a tank with smaller fish that produce smaller debris, the hole-size would not be an issue.this part also does not have the check-ball thing the OEM ones do. For me this is not too much of a concern since i run broken OEM ones without the ball for extended periods of time and have never had an issue.
