I discovered how by watching a very short Youtube video some kind soul took the time to create, and that did it for me. A few caveats: these will not work with vintage Rogers "tall boy" hoops (or at least I was not able to make it attach), and will also not work with Slingerland style stick-saver hoops (the top flange is turned inward and this mount will not engage it.)The key is to realize that the material from which this is made is a lot stronger than you think. It will not break when you apply the necessary force to seat it, and once you snap this in place a few times it becomes second nature.For the record, I purchased this to mount a small mic on an Odery Cafe kit "bass drum", which is a scant 14 inches in diameter and has triple flanged hoops. That configuration works perfectly. I also tested it out on a Sonar AQ and Tama snare drums and it attached with no problems (after I surmounted the learning curve of how to seat it.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well. Flexible. Doesn't seem possible to break it like ither comments I've read. I am using it to hold an Audix F10. Angle is good. Adjustable up and down for goo mic proximity. I think this would work with many different mic lengths.
