You need to collect soil and let it dry (so eg it will take a bit longer in wet winter months), then mix it with water and let it settle (heavy soils will settle faster), then do the test (1-2 minutes to react). The first step takes the longest (could be a couple of days), the second is in terms of hours. **Q: Is there a manual for this?** A: Yes, the cardboard sleeve inside has instructions and there are plenty of video tutorials on YouTube if you're still unsure. **Q: Bought this test kit and the pH is good but i am not getting any sort of reading for the other tests, just the colour of murky water, advise please?** A: As my original review reported, I was primarily interested in the potash test but the results I achieved were rather indefinite. However I don't think they were obscured by murky water.
