There are some not very durable parts, but generally set is great. Alot of figures and funny parts. Includes lights. Lot of fun assembling.

Let me first start by saying that I got this set on sale at $350. AT THAT PRICE POINT, ITS A WONDERFUL SET, I would not buy it at the full price of $500. This is mainly due to the fact that the tracks are not compatible with existing or future lego train sets, they are too wide and there is no way to modify the train to fit on a standard track size. I got this as a gift for Christmas, and the person doesn't play with lego, and was more interested in having it as a display piece. "People are mad that they couldn't get the big one" sums it up. This is an awesome build, with some cool techniques that makes for a great display set. It's definitely aimed for Adult fans of Lego, and Harry Potter. For little kids, get the smaller one and some more tracks to play with, again this isn't a set to be actively played with. For $350, it's a good value, and its a huge set. For anything more, I'd wait until it goes on sale again (it will, it doesn't sell all that well).

This Lego set is not only huge (could not believe how heavy this set is,) but is extremely detailed. It is definitely not a beginners set to put together and will take some time. The interior of the passenger car is a lot of fun and shows how passionate the designers are to the source material. Love it!

Thank you Explorer Deals! I should have bought this discontinued collectors kit a long time ago but never pulled the trigger. It was delivered quickly and professionally boxed. Everything sealed and brand new. Just have to build me a custom shelf now before I start this epic build. Added bonus: it came with a Japanese sticker on the side that I had to look up. This set was originally for Japan.

We purchase this for my son for his 15th birthday. We bought it half price on Black Friday. It took 3 of us about 10 hours to assemble, which meant we were done at about 3 AM. It was a lot of fun and built some fun camaraderie between me and my 2 sons. My son later had the joy of modifying the train by putting a moter in it to make it move in it's fixed position. The only negative part of the train was that it doesn't fit on normal lego track. It would have been cool to have it work on a normal lego track.

I bought this set for my 11 year old granddaughter who I am raising. This is probably her 6th or 7th Lego project but by far the most challenging. She LOVES it!! In four days she is about 3/4 of the way done. it’s all she can think about. I bought a 48” shelf board and clamped it to the card table she works on. You need this because the track is too long for the table. I expect she’ll have it completed before school starts up again. Lego has outdone themselves with this one. The detail is mind-boggling. It says 18+ but my granddaughter, while challenged, has had little difficulty getting it done. Don’t hesitate to get this. It is SO worth the price. The only problem I see? How in the heck are we going to top it!!

This was a great addition to my collection, it is Dean on the pricier side, however worth it if you have the patience for building. It looks amazing, runs on the track smoothly! The small details make it that much better! You will need a pretty long table to fit it somewhere though

This was a fully entertaining build for my wife and I. Even splitting up the build was still fully satisfying. Upon completion you will have a spectacular showpiece for any AFOL display room. Great nostalgia for the movie series as well with having multiple movies referenced throughout the carriage. A must have.

Amei esse set de colecionador. Pensaram em cada detalhe. Cada cabine acende luzes e é referente a cenas marcantes dos livros/filmes. Peguei uma promoção que custou 2500 quando normalmente custa 5000. Fiquei muito satisfeito. Quanto a embalagem do produto para entrega deixaram a desejar. Colaram a etiqueta bem na frente da caixa original. Deviam ter posto numa caixa a parte para proteção da caixa original. Em se tratando de item de colecionador, a caixa em bom estado é primordial. A minha veio amassada além de ter uma etiqueta enorme colada bem na foto da frente da caixa. :(
