Do not buy this it doesn’t have a uk plug.
This item needs looking at by trading standards. The item comes with a non uk plug. This is in no way advised on the product page therefore the product is being missold. Furthermore if I was willing to buy an adapter, the instructions aren’t even saying what kind of plug it is. It’s a total disgrace that Amazon allows this.

This is a very cool item to have at home! The kids love making their own books and it really helps with binding our printable homeschool curriculum. I haven't figured out how to use the different settings yet, but it does the trick if you just hold it on the heat side until you see the glue strip coming toward the ends. I use a piece of cardstock along the spine if our books.

I love the book binding machine. It has helped save so many books that the students have pulled from the spine with overuse. Easy to use. Do keep in mind to use parchment paper around the books to keep the melting glue from getting all over the machine. Also, note to be very cautious in use of glue, a sliver of the glue pieces goes a long way, full strips are not needed, because the glue melts so well, so err on the side of caution when using the glue strips.
