The "white" ones are the same sort, semitransparent plastic as the ones that came with 35mm film on the 80s-90s. Lids fit well and the few I tested seem watertight. None were defective. Three of them have lids that fit very tightly and need extra persuation to open and close.I saw other reviews that said they only got 50 (that is 100 "pieces"). This was not the case for me, there were 99 of them. I didn't need the full 100 anyway so I am fine with the missing one. But it's clear that it isnt a box of 50. I only counted out of curiousity.

I have been teaching science summer camps for over 10 years and always use these type of film capsules for Alka-Seltzer rockets. (1/3 water, 1/4 tablet.)You need these type or what used to be the Fujifilm ones with a lid fits right into the canister. Not the original Kodak black ones with the gray lids.Thess worked decently well. They didn’t have the best seal that I’ve had with other rockets, but for a whole box of 100, you can’t beat it.

I bought these for summer school project and they are excellent for the job I had in mind.

I needed 100, I got 100. Did the job well

Not only do you NOT get 100 canisters as specifically stated in the description, (I re-read the description carefully to see if maybe you get 100 pieces meaning 50 canisters and 50 lids), I only received 48 canisters. Quite the bait and switch, while also leaving me 52 short for a party favors needed in less than a weeks time.
