Summit One Rectangular Magnifying Glass (2X Magnification) with 2 Bright LED Lights - Large Handheld Magnifier for Small Prints, Low Vision, and Inspections

The magnification is fine; the product is solidly made and easy to handle. My only complaint is with the lighting. Perhaps the one I bought is defective and not representative of the product but the yellow switch on the handle of the one I received is almost impossible to move in either direction. With a lot of effort, my husband manages to turn the light on - for me, it's impossible. I'm still giving it 4 stars because I doubt I'll be needing the light anyway - but I thought others might like to know about this possible problem.

I purchased this magnifying glass for my elderly mother, out of the box it felt poor quality, the switch is difficult & stiff to use, the lights do not always come on when you manage to get the switch to work & it wont lay flat on a page/surface due to the lights standing out, honestly if I had purchased this item in a budget shop on the high street for a few pounds I would have been disapointed, I know I can return it but its all the hasstle involved, very poor.(I have now put a spot of light oil on the back of the switch & fixed the bad battery connection & its a lot better, comfortable to hold & illuminates what your reading quite well, I dont really think I should be fixing a new item but it now gets 3 stars instead on one)

Very pleased with this magnifying glass,well made and the lighting is a real added bonus.my only mistake is not getting a 3 x magnification.

Ideal for me ... it works well enough apart from the quite stiff slide button for the light.

I found this item met all my needs

Maybe I was unlucky, but I'm bitterly disappointed with this product. The sliding switch for the lamp is only operable by extreme force, and I think I've read of a couple of other people making the same comment, and if the manufacturers are reading this, then please feel free to contact me and send a replacement.

Got this for 82 year old dad, says he doesn't know how he managed without it. Very clear, lightweight and comfortable to hold. He also loves the light and it makes reading much much easier for him.
