After a few minutes of trial and error, I got into a rhythm and shaved the rug down to an even level. It works best going in one direction. Your job is to find out what direction that is. Be careful when trimming. If you lean on it a bit more than required, it will get to a spot and dig into the carpet cutting more than you had wanted. It's not too noticeable, but it could if it happens enough. Just start slowly and you'll figure out the best way that works for you.I'd set the height so that the clipper is a tiny bit higher than the base plate; not even with it. This way, you adjust how much pressure you use to push down on it to catch the loose strands to cut.But overall, well worth the money as it does what it's designed to do.

Everything looks Great, live in norway so need to get adapter for US to EU.Took almost a month to get it, but that is how long it take to ship it here😊
