I like the accessability of the face and feel that the side bumpers provide adequate protection for the face, as they wrap around ever so slightly. **Q: Are the edges raised over the front of the phone? like a speck and otterbox cases?** A: The edges are raised very slightly, but hardly enough to notice unless you touch them. This is enough, however, to protect the phone when it is face down on a flat surface. I don't know what speck and otter box cases are, so I can't say if they are similar.
