Wish I had gotten the larger size but this one is useful and cleans in the dishwasher. Had another similar one for years, when it finally wore out this was the replacement, hope it lasts a long time too.

The only splatter I got on the stove was from lifting it up to turn the food. Much better than just the ordinary screen. The flimsy handle does concern me for that reason I will not order another one for now.

Keeps most of the grease splatter off the stove. I haven’t found one that key all grease from splattering but this one does pretty good.

My husband likes his steaks and chops and other meats cooked in our grill pan, which means I am constantly battling a gross and greasy stovetop. Lids hold in too much heat and overcook his steaks, which he prefers medium rare. This little screen holds in the splatters while allowing the heat to escape, meaning a cleaner stovetop for me, and a perfectly cooked steak for him.Please notice I said “cleaner,” and not “splatter-free.” There is no way for you to prevent them all since you have to remove the splatter shield to flip your food, but there is so, so much less mess.I have had a few of these screens, and this one absolutely blows the others out of the water. The weave is super tight, but breathable. The size will fit most standard pans (please be sure to check the size of your largest pan if you plan on using this on it. It will not work on 12” and larger), and it goes through the dishwasher.My one and only complaint when it comes to this screen is the handle. The metal can get hot when sitting on cast iron. Why the heck don’t the manufacturers of these screens (because the handle design is universal) put some silicone around it? But since this is the best one I have ever used, I can grab a potholder.Bottom line: even with the handle, this is highly recommended.
