The whole point of a brace is to hold the tap firm and secure so that it does not "flop" around when you use it. Flexi-Pipes are essentially flexible. They are unlikely to provide a secure base for the brace. In addition, the brace relies on squeezing the supply pipes tight so that the brace becomes secure. This squeezing will distort the Flexi-Pipes and may even damage them. **Q: Hi I would like the Franke Tap Brace Art. No. AH304'980 Is this the correct one?** A: I don't know if the part No is ok. but there seems to be only one tap brace on the market. I bought it but did not fit it because 1st/ my tap is one where a large nut screws onto the tap base,and against the underside of the sink.(this is the best style, much firmer ) instead of 2nd/ a long bolt passes through the sink hole and into the base base of the tap. check the "Habitat" model. The brace has a rubber part with an 'oblong' opening for the hot and cold flex pipes and a smaller hole for the fixing bolt so it does not readily fit the other better fitting. A lot will depend on the actual circumstances below the sink if it can be fitted. Besides it's not very expensive to buy and see if it can be made to fit ,if so its very desireable as the tap is really to heavy and high without something. the best fitting style is with the nut as on the "Habitat" model which I am very happy with. Check the habitat tap and see if there is a reply from me to an earlier question. If you use the Habitat tap you will have to cut away part of the rubber bit to make it fit. best of luck. **Q: How to stop mixer tap swivelling?** A: My understanding is that the mixer tap has it's own fitting usually in the form of a large hexagonal nut. The swivelling has nothing to do with the Franke product. This is to stop the tap exerting too much pressure on the sink and causing it to flex because of the leverage. The Franke fitting is to prevent this by resisting the leverage. **Q: Hi is it possible to retrofit this? I have new sink and tap installed but because sink is thin it feels really wobbly . Thanks** A: It is. But it is very fiddly. My tapes have less wobble but still abit. Took all the play out of the tap. Took me ages to screw/ fit it. However, I have installed the tap to a Franke stainless sink which is probably 20 years old and made of a heavier gauge steel than modern units and so the tap is sufficiently rigid to not need a brace. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well.
