Great for a home office and a bargain at under $500.
It has all of the features that I wanted for my home office including, a huge paper input capacity (500 sheets in 2 trays), a rear paper feed for off-size paper (e.g., photo, legal, etc.), huge ink cartridges that are claimed to last up to a year(?), high capacity auto-feed copier and scanner, solid, reliable wi-fi connectivity. And it prints almost immediately when you hit the print button and prints each page very fast. Minor negatives: The unit is a bit bigger than what you'd expect in a home office. Also, the photo print is acceptable but not as good as the Epson photo printer I previously owned.

Great All-in-One Printer & Scanner
We are very happy so far with this Brother Printer/Scanner/Fax. The setup was very easy. This machine appears to be a quality printer compared to other smaller printers we have and the print quality is very good. It has an easy to read screen for controls that are intuitive. The printer and scanner are fast (25-30 pages) as compared to some of the other ink jet printers we have. We purchased this instead of a laser printer to save money since the ink cartridges yield and cost per page is less. We are still testing to see if the ink yields are as described. This has two paper tray and a third tray in the rear to have different paper sizes including letter, legal and 11 X 17. The copier is full size to allow for large paper copies and scanning. It also has a duplex scanner, which is great for scanning 2-sided documents up to 11 X 17 pages. We did call tech support about the machine info and they were able to assist me with a feature on our printer so you can tell the number of copies and get other information.

Outstanding printer - Home Office - THIS is the one!!
Do not buy if you are looking for a space saving printer - this one is big. For the money, however, the features and performance so far are terrific. Printing is very fast, and the quality is super. No issue getting onto my 5G home network. Scanning is impressive, and even has ability to scan directly to your mobile device or cloud. I had it scan receipts directly to my phone as a PDF, and also directly into Google Drive - it created it's own folder. You an even create shortcuts for the most used feature with settings. It's going to take me a while to explore all of the features. For the cost of just over $400, I do not feel there is anything else that compares for a small home office setup. Previously had another brank "tank" printer, and had nothing but connection issues back to my PC. Seemed every time I wanted to scan, I had to unplug printer and reboot PC. So far, Brother seems to be flawless - even from sleep mode. Will see how long the ink lasts - did a few prints on 11 x 17 as well as borderless - much better than my previous printer. Purchased this one with my own $$ - no free product - I am an actual user, and so far it's nothing but thumbs up. To me, the quality of construction, materials, screen and just fit and finish is on par with more traditional Office grade equipment versus just a "home" printer.

Out of the box poor print quality
Literally unboxed the printer and set it up three hours ago... Setup was very quick and easy. Afterall this is my third MFC-J69--DW printer, so I am very well aware of how it works. My first was the 6935, which I bought in July 2018 when I started my business. My second was 6945, which I bought a year later so that I also had a printer when I worked from home. I used the 6935 maybe a few times a week at most, so the printer nozzles clogged frequently. After having to clean the printer nozzles for the millionth time and wasting tons of ink, the printer finally told me that the ink absorption pad was full and that I would need to get the printer serviced by a professional. So, time for a new printer. ... and I have cleaned the print heads more than a dozen times now. I had to hit the ground running tonight, printing several pages to have hardcopy back-ups of my work, but the printing quality just will not keep up. I printed several invoices after initial setup without any problem. Then I printed several time sheets which were just bad. Cleaned the heads twice. Printed the time sheets, and they looked good. Then I had to print out a few jobs (2 B&W letters, 1 set B&W pdf blueprint drawings), and I had to print EACH JOB TWICE, cleaning the heads between each attempt. Just tried printing another invoice (B&W, just words and numbers on a page). Had to clean the heads (not just the black, but also the magenta, cyan, and yellow for some reason). "The Print Quality Check Sheet" came back with no flaws. Tried printing the invoice again. Just horrible. Had to clean all four heads again. Check sheet is flawless. Let's try one more time. F***. Worse than the first two times. The ink cartridges that came with the printer are already nearly empty. Okay, one last try. Heads are clean, according to the Check Sheet. Not holding my breath. Holy s***, it worked. Finally! This paragraph, this one paragraph, was for a single, one-page invoice. I am returning this thing. I cannot afford to waste not just money on ink but time on cleaning the heads over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. Does anyone have a recommendation for a color printer/copier/scanner that can print 8.5x11 AND 11x17, and has a space for #10 (Com10) envelopes?

only print plain paper
I was excited about this new all in one printer and it worked well until I needed to print award certificates for students. it jams with any non-plain paper. It printed well in regular copy/printer paper i.e. plain paper. that's all it does. I tried manually feed 1 sheet of certificate paper at a time. it worked for 1 or 2 times then the 3rd time paper jam - I wasted not only time but more than 1 pack of 25 sheets certificate paper... tried to put certificate paper in tray 1 or tray 2... it did not work if only put 1 or 2 sheets to try. It shows paper jam... do not know what to do.

Fantastic Multi Purpose Machine
This printer is solidly built. It holds a large capacity of paper. Print quality and speed is great and it’s quiet in operation. It does have a large footprint, but I don’t mind that. Super happy with my purchase.

The printer is 120 volt printer only and will not work in UAE. On top of everything, I had to pay an arm and a leg for expensive shipping! Which I wouldn't mind if the printer worked!!! What a disappointment in Amazon.AE and also the supplier.

Recomendo.

I finally bought Brother MFC-J6955DW after also debating for some time to buy Epson, HP or Canon. I have been using Epson multi-function inkjet printers and my current unit is ~10 years old. I wanted a new printer that is also capable of printing good quality Ledger-size photos and my expectations have been exceeded. This is especially more so for a 4-colour ink tank printer. The other brands would have cost considerable more for quality Ledger-size photos. The touchscreen is somewhat small for my fingers, but I can change settings through a browser to its built-in web portal. I also had an initial setup problem with the printer being detected by Brother iPrint&Scan software, but their Technical Support helped me to resolve the problem.

The attention to detail is excellent, the printer auto-selects paper from the correct tray. It works with zero configuration on all operating systems. Oddly, it cannot scan a photograph to save it's life. I was digitizing an old family photo album, and it was garbage. Colors oversaturated and contrast blown way too high. Literally scanned better with my phone camera acting as a scanner, than using the dedicated flatbed. Seems to be the most glaring defect, and I'm not seeing it talked about much. Excellent for all other office tasks.
