... as knit, purl, moss, and rib are pretty much staple. That said, doing alternating purls and knits to 'paint without colours' is quite impressive (see the chevron throw project), and I will be doing that at some point.I've also fallen in love with the basket-woven hat tops, and even gone to the trouble of finding some true grass-coloured yarn to do a 1:1 copy of that particular project. If there exist things that are any more Irish, they would probably violently reject being put in English books :)Speaking of which: this is something between a pamphlet and a brochure; calling it a "book" is really stretching the definition. Still, very nice paper, great colours, and pretty photographs... much is forgiven.Popcorn bobble stitch is probably the only truly "new" stitch here. Well, that, and the basket weave.

There are some lovely patterns in this book and plenty of new stitches to try out. It is well set out, clear instructions and good photos. The downside is that as it is an American book not all the yarns recommended seem to be available in this country.I am knitting the hat at the moment and thought I could use a DK yarn double and that would bring it up to the thickness required. However, this isn't the case. According to the pattern I should have finished the hat quite a few rows ago but it isn't high enough yet so am keeping going.I will keep trying to track down the yarns on the internet as I really want to make most of the other patterns.If you are 'into' loom knitting I think you would really like this book.

Have not used yet but I'm looking forward to making a few items very colourful and the instructions are very good and easy to follow.

Whether you are a newbie or an experienced knitter this book will give you plenty of ideas for new projects.

This product is a booklet rather than a book. It does not have the level of description/illustration I would expect from a book.
