We have our satellite dish (yes, we still use it for FreeSat!) on the wall above our kitchen door. Pigeons using it as a perch and sh*tting onto the area below had never previously been a problem in the more than 10 years we've lived in our house, but this year, a family of "town" pigeons have decided to use it as a perch. Cue lots of pigeon droppings right outside the back door. I decided to get these spikes as they can be "moulded" around curves, and the three joined strips can be separated into single strips, which is what I needed. They have holes in case you want to fix them to a flat surface like a fence using screws, but that wasn't going to work for me, so I used cable ties and wire to tie them to the top of the dish using the little holes in the dish itself as the anchor points. The spikes have been completely effective at preventing the pigeons from perching on the dish, and a poo-free floor has been restored. They're quite pricey at £9.99 for 1.2m, so if you wanted to cover a long run, it would be expensive, but for the short lengths I needed to cover the potential perching points on the satellite dish, 1.2m was ample with a few strips to spare.

Expensive as hell, especially if you have a lot of fence panels. Very well made, nice and sharp. Cats cannot deal with them, too long and sharp. Make sure it covers the whole top of the fence so there is no room for the Cat to manoeuvre round the line of spikes and you should be fine. I’ve not seen a Squirrel try yet, I imagine it’s too much for those too, which is a shame as I love squirrels but I’m cleaning 2-3 different sh1ts up every day from my garden from the local Cats and I can’t take it anymore, I have to try something. Up yours Cats and I’m very sorry Squirrels.

At least one third of the spikes are wedged together so tightly that I can’t separate then, so will be useless unless I want to use them ‘doubled up’. Other than that they appear to be sturdy. I haven’t fixed them to my fence yet, will add to this review after a few months of installation. have now fitted the spikes to my fence and they look good and are keeping the neighbourhood cats out of my boarders. I had to buy multiple packs as I was unable to separate many of the spikes, they are wedged together so tightly.

They are quite expensive, but, they do work.They were easy to install.Screws are not included!! Should be included at this price.I've now had them for over a week and not had a single bird sit on the fence.No more bird droppings.

Not a single pigeon had come on my balcony since I've put them up. The squirrels are not bothered but I don't mind them...

They are a bit too obvious if not up high

Had hassle with neighbours feeding gulls. Since these went up not one has landed in our garden so highly recommend. Easy to install as well. Good for price

Reasonable price easy to install

This was such a great purchase! I have an issue with pigeons sitting on the beams of my pergola and making a mess. All over my patio furniture and outdoor grilling area. Disgusting!I also had several cats making their way through my outdoor kitchen and grilling area, which antagonized my dogs. No more issues!They are the perfect solution to keep the birds and cats off the beams. Everything has been so clean and wonderful. They are humane, so don’t worry. The strong materials are not harmful to the animals. I love the long spikes! It has really made difference. I have not had to power wash my pergolas in weeks. If you have those kind of issues, you need to buy this product.

Ich habe die Teile mit doppelseitigem Klebeband auf die Paneele geklebt, die als Sichtschutz dienen. Sonst waren die immer beidseitig mit Vogelkot garniert. Ab da wo die Spitzen installiert waren, war Schluß. Kann die Teile nur empfehlen. Sind leicht anzubringen und auch zu kürzen.

Avevo un grosso problema di piccioni che non riuscivo a mandar via da un terrazzino in nessun modo.... riuscivano a piegare i classici dissuasori a spilli di metallo senza alcun problema e li usavano come appoggio per il nido. Ho messo questi da circa un mese e i piccioni sono finalmente spariti. Credo sia perché sono molto resistenti e non si piegano e soprattutto hanno un'altezza da tale danon consentire in alcun modo al piccione di toccare terra con le zampe. Consigliatissimi!
