Jax - Classic Leather 'Cut-Off' Motorcycle Waistcoat

This is a classic, really well designed and made garment. It's fully lined and is definitely good quality genuine leather. It's comfortable, warm and really looks the business. I've not put any patches or strips on it [I'm not really into going that far] but have worn it out a couple of times now and in each case I've had favourable comments.There is some confusion over sizing this item. I am a size 36" chest so the small one 36-38 was and is perfect for me even when I want to wear it over a hoodie as per Jackson Teller.The leather is first class and has the same grain as the one worn by Jackson. Chest pockets are large enough to take a mobile and cash. As has been stated there are two inside pockets on the left side. The top one takes a bulky wallet [or if your name is Juice, a gun]. The lower slip pocket with volcro fastening would take paper bills.Delivery time was two days from ordering it to arrival. It came in a box with tissue paper and a receipt.All in all, everything about it is first class. Highly recommended.

I was very pleased with this product, fast delivery, well packaged, good thickness of leather, great fit and looks good. I purchased this item as I am in a motorcycle club and we have patches which is mandatory and all was looking good until when opening the jacket one day the center studs came apart from the flap folding over the zip. The jacket has only been wore 5 times. This is why I have given it a four star rating instead of five. I believe it is a great product and well made however I am always unlucky like that. If anything can go wrong it does for me, I think I have just been unlucky to get this one. I would still recommend this item.

I was dubious at first over ordering this waistcoat as it is more of a cut-off jacket than a waistcoat. I need not have worried though.The fit is perfect and will only get better as the leather ages. I particularly like the collar which drew me to this in the first place.The leather itself is good full grain tough stuff and there are two internal pockets on the left hand side as you are wearing it which are not fully explained in the description. The upper inner pocket is large enough for a wallet and the smaller lower one has a Velcro fastening inside of it. I suspect the smaller one is best fitted to a lighter, large coins or such like.Great value for money and very happy with the speedy delivery especially as it is the day before Christmas Eve!

I bought a vest from skintan over 5 years ago and it was fantastic quality, I've since grown out of a large and decided to go a size larger and thought I'd stick with these as it was such good quality leather 1st time round.However.. I was shocked when this one arrived, smells chemically, thin, plastic like leather. Even the zips aren't the same as previous one. Very disappointed. The sizing is brilliant and arrived quickly but for £100 you would expect decent leather. I've uploaded a pic of the pair of them together. The old one to the right, thick, imperfections in the leather and rough. The left the new smooth stinking cheap one.

Excellent service, received item in less than 48 hours. Good quality. There have been various things said about the sizing so I'll add my version, I am 41 inch chest 5 feet 8 inches tall and generally slim build. The cut off fits me perfectly in a large size, I have tried it over a sweatshirt and a sweatshirt with a denim jacket over that and it is fine, not tight anywhere and plenty of movement but also it is not so big that it'll hang big over just a t-shirt. I hope this helps somebody as I was a bit unsure about which size to order but took the plunge because of the seller's excellent service regarding returns, but they ain't getting mine back.

This is the third 'cut' that I have ordered off Amazon and eBay from different sellers. Although this is a higher price, the quality is some much better. The others felt that the leather was too thin. This feels nice and think and has a quality finish to it.I've only given it 4 stars, simply because I feel it could be longer in the body, if your not wearing on a bike then it will be fine. If you are it could just do with being an inch longer IMHO.There are two pockets on the inside but these are only on one side and nether have a zip. One is open and one (smaller) has a hook and loop closure. I would like it if there was another pocket on the other side that was a zip closure. The two lower outer side pockets also have no way to secure them and it would have been better I think to have a zip closure on. them. However, I'm very pleased with this product and would recommend it if you are looking for a decent quality waist coat.EDIT: Forgot to mention that I'm a 38-40 inch chest and I bought the XL, which fits well including over a leather jacket with armour.UPDATE: 24/10/20 Removed a star as now two of the press poppers have broken, the jacket has not had much use and one of the poppers broke, even though wasn't used more than twice. Disappointing.

Not worn this yet but initial view is that it's a good quality garment. I thought the leather may have been a little thicker but it's a decent weight. Wearing will tell if it's up to the rigours of motorcycling. I will wear this over my leather jacket my normal size is large so I got the 2xl and its OK a bit snug but I think it will give a bit and as I will also wear it with an armoured hoodie if I went a size higher it would be too big for that. It's really difficult to judge sizes on things like this but I'm 6ft and 42/43 chest so work it out from that.

Excellent value for such high quality leather, smells like new leather should, fits exactly as sized and feels secure and comfortable to ride in. But not in the hot weather that we had today though, even just my skin was too hot to wear today. Should have gone out naked. Might have got arrested though. The posh folk of the Cotswolds don't like hairy arsed naked men on bikes.
