The instructions could use improvement but I found videos to help. It’s also a very sturdy machine. Another reviewer brought up they put foam pads on the bottom and I tried it out and it worked great since the bottom does slip around on slick surfaces. I ordered more buttons and have made over 1000 with no issue! Highly recommend! But I would think a light weight fabric would be ok. Nothing too heavy. **Q: Is there a way to buy the paper circles separately? I bought two button press machines and love the weight and texture of the paper included.** A: Not that I am aware of. We also bought the die cut machine to speed the process. **Q: can this machine cut magnets as well?** A: It can cut the type of magnet sheets that are printable. I made sure to try things out and make my mistakes on the first few and now it's second nature. Line up the top marks correctly and keep the paper thin and all is well. Foam stickers don't do well, but can be buttonized.
