Yes you can cut it whatever shape you want. I put mine under door handles on car and at thw back of the boot so just cut it too size.

No I don't think so . It's pretty thin and would probably split due to movement !

I have used this product on various applications. It is resonably tough but not a lot better than the old Fablon. I personally wouldn't use it on car door sills. On my car I went on amazon and searched self adhesive car door sills and found a super carbon set embossed with a sport logo for a matter of a few pennies. (Around £15.00. for a complete set including a boot lip cover) hope this helps.
