This kills off the horsetail growing in my compost heap within four days. As soon as it sticks it's ugly little head into the daylight it gets a quick shower of the mix. I have no idea how deep this liquid death reaches into the horsetail's system but after digging down a bit one root looked to be dead to about two inches down. Not bad for only being sprayed a week earlier. I was hand digging every shoot out but this has the same effect whilst giving the plant a chemical kicking. I've used Gallup 360 (glyphosate) in the past and it does work and it has come back much weaker than last year. However it takes weeks to work and takes a season to show you how effective it has been. This stuff shows its working within days. Keep in mind that you cannot replant after using this chemical for one - three months dependant on your soil type. I have a heavy clay soil so as it's June now I wont be digging over or replanting until mid Autumn. Update- 3 months later and I think I've won the battle. Spraying as soon as the plant showed itself and adding lime and feed to my soil has seen me horsetail free for the last 2 weeks. We usually have a warmish September so we'll see if I have spoken to soon.
