Exactly what I needed!
Exactly what I needed for my 2015 Chevy Trax. Had two leaks and replacing this helped everything run smoothly. Exactly has mentioned in description! Great price for the item compared to auto stores!

2012 Chevy Cruz valve cover aluminum
This is a wonderful replacement over the plastic one that comes on the car this valve cover will not chip and break. The downsides and things to watch out for are that the oil cap that comes with?1. It is guaranteed to leak almost immediately.Use the OEM factory oil cap and you will be fine.2. The paint finish is not the greatest, and is blemished with any sort of chemical rather easily such as brake clean or any sort of chemical like that.3. Make sure that the PCV diaphragm cover is fully seated and clipped in all the way around. If not, this will leak and seep oil as well. This valve cover has a serviceable PCV valve diaphragm, which is useful, but means if not properly secured as another oil leak pointI would say the only weak point for this part is the finish on it, which does not affect its dependability and the oil cap, which is a small and easily remedied issue. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!

Bad quality
The chap to fill the oil does not seal well spills much oil falls on the multiple exhaust I can not use the car for fear of burning

Mostly fits
First off this valve cover was probably modeled after the 2009 through 2012 Chevy Cruze valve covers. The yellow will cap that is included can be replaced with the OEM filler extension or a metal one from ZZP or BNR. The dipstick on the 2019 Sonic doesn't readily fit in the dipstick hole on the valve cover it will have to be drilled out some. Perhaps the cruise dipstick would fit but the length may be different than the sonics. I haven't looked into that. I'm assuming the fit on the head will be the same but I haven't installed it yet either. As with any valve cover replacement add some RTV on the corners as zzp recommends.

Great Fit and Built to Last
This aluminum valve cover fit my 1.4L Turbo perfectly. Feels much sturdier than the original plastic cover. Installation was straightforward, and the gasket sealed up nicely. No more oil smell or seepage. If you're replacing your OEM part, this is a great long-term solution.

Boogers and bubbles and chips, Oh My!
So, if you're looking for a cam cover with color to replace that godawful GM imbedded PCV design, this works... Sort of. The good: Its red. You know that gives you like what, 50hp? Sweet. It also bolts right on. Its not a 100% match, though. The hose clip on the upper left doesnt fit back on. Whatever, did I mention its red, and aluminum? The bad: The 'paint' job. It looks like it was done outside in a hurricane by a 1 eyed dude that was coughing up loogies on it as he sprayed. Surface prep? Whats that... SEND IT! I mean seriously, this thing is messier than Mia K. after a long day of work. The gasket has mold lines, but that was noted by other reviewers. Get the Fel Pro set at the same time. In fact, do that whenever you change these, even if using the OEM part. The 14 it costs is better than the headache you get when you end up buying it later anyway. Strip the hardware off their screws, and use the orings in the FP set. It takes about 6-8 circles of the torque pattern to get it so they finally click right away when you get back to the start. GM says to set your clicker to 8NM (6 foot pounds, if you're a backwoods mechanic) I set mine to 10ft, because its aluminum. It feels nice and tight, without coming near that, righty tightey...righty was tightey feeling. We'll see how it behaves.Transfer over your OG oil cap (you DO have the new, 2 pc version, right?) Car fired right up, no visible leaks, and my PCV isnt screaming and making the engine sputter anymore. We'll see how long it lasts.Overall, despite my snark, I'm happy. If the PCV is indeed replaceable, its worth the extra cost.

Looks good doesn't function as well as it should
After installing and driving for a bit, found out the oil cap doesn't seal very well. Spitting oil all over the place and possibly a bad pcv valve on it as well so
