TUSA SP-170 Platina Hyperdry II Scuba Diving Snorkel

Seriously best Snorkel I’ve ever used!! I even did a lot of research to find a good one! It is super light, easy on the jaw, I’ve never had any issues with water getting in, and it’s extremely easy to clear! If you want a GREAT snorkel- choose this one no doubt!

I purchased this to replace a 20+ year old Tusa snorkel that I had been using for SCUBA. The old snorkel was still working fine but I got a new mask and just thought that it was time to get a new snorkel as well. The new one seems to be of similar quality as the old one so I have no doubt that it will last. It's flexible enough to be comfortable and easy to use but it straightenes when not in use so it doesn't get in the way when you are on the regulator. The valve works well so it clears easily and it stays dry at the surface. I highly recommend this snorkel whether it is for SCUBA or free diving.

This is the best snorkel I've ever used. It's easy to clear after coming up from diving, the size is perfect and reduced effort I didn't realize existed until it wasn't there, and it looks cool too. The price may look high, but it's totally worth every penny. I am so happy I bought this.

Snorkel is comfortable in my small mouth and is of great quality. I read a critical review in which the person said he/she/they/them are returning the snorkel because it's not a dry snorkel. That is correct -- it isn't a dry snorkel and if the person read the information on Amazon about the snorkel, they would have realized this. It is advertised as a semi-dry snorkel, which is what I was looking for--a good quality, comfortable semi-dry snorkel. The problem with dry snorkels is if you happen to get sand in the snorkel as you're swimming, you may not be able to breathe and will need to try to clear that "spec" of sand out before you can continue snorkeling. Reviewers shouldn't criticize a product for something it isn't supposed to be. Remember to read the information about what you're purchasing so you know what to expect.

Works well

This snorkel somehow allows me to feel like I am getting twice as much air as my previous high-quality snorkel. It has a good mouthpiece, drains entering water well through a side channel, and is easy to blow out water after surface dives. I also like that even the solid part of the tube is bendable--useful for tucking in a vest while diving. The corrugated part of the snorkel makes it easy to get comfortable. I recommend it. This is the third purchase of this snorkel for my family--after another person tries it, he gives up on his previous snorkel and gets this.

This is an excellent snorkel, but I actually prefer the Tusa Imprex II over this one primarily because of the snorkel keeper. Nevertheless, this is a five star snorkel. It is comfortable in the mouth, provides excellent amount of air for big lungs, and it clears easily. The term "hyperdry" is a bit misleading because the snorkel fills with water when submerging below the surface, unlike other "dry" snorkels. Nevertheless, the snorkel does stay dry while breathing through it at the surface.

When my wife received her dive certification recently we went and got her a mask that fit her face as that is the most important thing. I was hoping it would be a Tusa but it wasn't. With that thought I knew this was the snorkel. With this being made so flexible it is fantastic to pack into our travel bags and go. You can roll it up squish it, or bend it any way to get it in your bag and when you pull it out it springs right back into its shape. The blue actually matched perfectly with her mask and she loved everything about it.

I can’t think of a single thing that could be better. Zero breath effort, drains perfectly even after diving and is so comfortable in mouth you don’t know it’s there.

Non ci sono paragoni tra questo tubo per snorkeling e tutti gli altri, il boccaglio è comodissimo, la gomma (silicone) flessibile è lunga e accompagna la faccia in ogni movimento senza ostacolare, anche la sezione del tubo è studiata di forma schiacciata per offrire meno resistenza all’acqua e non trasmettere forza alla maschera o alla faccia, la valvola consente un efficace svuotamento dall’acqua senza dover fare la fatica di dover soffiare con forza; poi ci sono innumerevoli altri particolari di progettazione e realizzazione di questo tubo che ne fanno uno strumento pressocchè perfetto. L’unica accortezza da rispettare è quella di prestare attenzione a non far entrare la sabbia nel meccanismo della valvola che potrebbe incepparsi o rovinarsi.

Great snorkel, well made and easy to use.

I found it better than my atomic snorkel in terms of drainage and water getting in from the top.
