Excellent for a beginner or advanced player that was looking to add more fingerings or reminders .
This is a great tool for the beginner and those like myself, are restarting after a fairly long hiatus. For me the the alternate fingerings were the ones I’d forgotten. I managed to get them so easily and then it was just perfecting them with alternative scales and arpeggios as well as speed practise for those Hungarian Rhapsody parts by Liszt or the Wagner and Mozart ones too. Then the Eb parts by Kammer or Shostakovich !!Excellent and cheap too, perfect !

A bit more difficult to use, even as an intermediate player
I would only recommend this fingering chart for advanced players as it is a bit unusual. Instead of having a diagram showing which keys to press for each note it has a numbering system. This is unlike most instruction books, so even as an intermediate player (25 years, Gr 8 conservatory) it does not act as a quick reference as you then need to look to the numbering key. Yes, it is accurate and has lots of alternate fingerings, but I just found the user experience to be a bit difficult. Should have returned it to be honest.

Does The Job For Me
I’m currently working on getting my clarinet chops back after not playing for a long time. I needed a fingering chart to help me remember some of the cross fingerings in the Altissimo range. This chart is very complete. I’m familiar with the nomenclature and the informs found the chart served as a refresher course. However, I wouldn’t recommend this chart for a beginner as it’s layout can be a bit overwhelming for them. While some of the information in the chart will eventually make sense for them, it may confuse them at first.

Happy to have this resource.
The chart requires some close attention to certain key instructions that are too small to read without glasses or magnification. Would have liked something easier to read. It is nice to have and has provided great support to my efforts to relearn how to play the clarinet fifty plus years after high school. Having a great time with it.

Useful chart
Easy to read. Liked how it is laid out. But I found it not as clear as Eric Nelson’s chart. It’s purely a matter of individual taste
