I damaged it but it's a keeper.
I bought this easel to serve as a tv stand. The instructions were very easy to understand. They included everything that was needed. It's lightweight but sturdy. The wood looks and feels good. I place some anti-slip, scratch pads under the legs.I made the mistake of over tightening one of the screws. Fortunately it's tightened at the right height that I need.I tightened the screw so much that when I tried to unscrew, the end came off separate from the screw.I will figure out how to remove the screw later on. It's perfect for now. It's perfect for what it's intended for. This was completely my fault.

Awesome easle
I live this easle. It is sturdy, holds whatever size canvas I am working on, and is balanced on the ground (inside & out). I would highly recommend purchasing this product.

too much assembly and top block doesn’t easily adjust
Way too much assembly. The top adjustable block barely moves so can’t lock in the art piece. I’ve started to use a sandpaper on the bar so the block can be easier moved up and down.

This is a great versatile easel. I use it for smaller work in my studio. up to about 18x 20 ins. It’s a medium weight easel, the catch lock bar is good. It’s not for large heavy work but it’s better than field easels.

Very study and adjustable! Attractive wood.
This does take time to put together, I think I spent about an hour on it. I did find the bottom plate wasn't quite drilled exactly but it wasn't too much issue to get the screws in with a little maneuvering. If you are using a large canvas, it can hold it higher but the back support gets pretty tall if you move the bottom to a comfortable position...it banged my ceiling when set up a smaller painting. That said, it really does have an impressive range, and it is easy to adjust. I regularly use canvases between 16x20 in and 3x4 feet, so this will be good. For sturdiness, I would put it between my light travel easel and an H frame. While this one does fold flattish, I can't see throwing it in the car easily because I would worry about breaking it. I love that feature for a studio though because when not in use it can lean on the wall out of the way. The tilting feature is interesting, it works as advertised.
