This two volume set combines a broad overview of the history and mythology of Egypt. On the whole it covered the topic fairly well and left the reader feeling satisfied. Egypt is an area that has bee critical to the developing of civilization. The role of the Nile is explored as well as the pharaoh system in reasonable detail. I received an advanced copy for free and I Iam leaving this review voluntarily.

For those who enjoy learning about Egypt at any point in its history, this bundle is stellar. With one book about Egypt's history and the other Egyptian mythology, there is no reason not to indulge in your inner investigator, especially since both works are written beautifully and with due attention to accuracy as well as accessibility. In sum, this collection is well worth the read.

I didn't know about the length of their civilization and the number of God's they had. I enjoyed reading about the history and mythology. I will be reading more of these books!

I’m hoping to go to Egypt soon. It has a lot of good history about the different pyramids and temples.

What I really liked about these books were how well done they were. It was clear that the author did his research as he wrote a clear and easy to understand report. It is also nice to get two books touching both history and myth of this culture. They were both excellent and well worth getting if you are into Egyptian history and their myths.

This book does a great job at overviewing Egyptian past. I am very pleased with this book. It is a must-read for anyone wanting a great overview of the Egyptian way of life in the past.
