I use this to customize my plant "pots," which are really just glorified plastic cups. Of course, exercise caution and protect your eyes and airways, making sure to only use this in an open space away from potential fire hazards. Can have a hard time maintaining temp on larger solder pads but that's to be expected for an iron of this size and price.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I got this to use temporarily before I got a really nice soldering iron for my birthday. I've seen some people say that the reliability is not exactly sound, but I didn't use it enough to have those issues.

I have been using this to solder more difficult components to jewelry and it works so well. Better than the dremel torch tool thingy that cost 3x the price. I'm so happy with this purchase.

I would never consider using this for soldering. However, it's just fine for smoothing out the leftover bits of plastic after removing support material from a 3D print.The display is difficult to read. There is no light to indicate that the iron is turned on or at the correct temperature. The included stand is a joke. The included cardboard box full of "high purity rosin" seems more trouble than it's worth, and since I'm not going to be doing any soldering, it's not an issue for me.It feels very cheaply made, and for the price, I wouldn't expect more.

Works great and heats up fast! Great value for the price, I had never soldered before and this was very beginner friendly.
