Practical & Compassionate Framework
I highly recommend this book! I haven't read other attachment theory books, but this one is really resonating with me (I'm halfway through). It is such a practical and compassionate framework. Baum does a great job of explaining where our relationship patterns come from and the need to focus on healing our core wounds to stop repeating the sabotaging, painful survival behaviors we've developed from childhood. She offers a roadmap on how to take steps towards healing from a compassionate, comprehensive, and clear-eyed perspective. This is really reassuring and motivating - we can see how much agency we actually have to shift our experience of life.If you experience not feeling safe in your relationships (and your own self), and want help in owning the work that is yours to do, pick up this book !Also, I initially started listening to this as an audiobook (read by the author), which I definitely recommend as well. Her voice is calm and she reads it in a helpful, deliberately well-paced way. I bought the physical book in order to review and reflect on her insights and exercises.

Healing journey
This is the most important book I ever read❤️🙏🏻 I wwasn’t really aware of my attachment issues and how they impacted my adulthood relationships until recently. I’m not done with the book yet, about half in. I’m taking it slow as it’s a lot of hard work. But I learned a lot already, it’s so good. I hope to be more healed and aware of my behaviour and be able to regulate my emotions more in the future🙏🏻Thank you Jessica for writing this Book!

Excellent book
This is an excellent book that discusses attachment theories in an easy to understand way with good examples. It also guides you through self discovery and healing especially with regards to close relationships. There is a free link to audio meditations by the author which complement the book and are also very good.

The life line/ coach I needed
First of all, this is not a book. It is the life line/coach that I needed and have been looking for. It has taken me months to finish reading it, because I have been re-reading chapters & sections, pausing, processing and coming back to it, just like I would if I was with a coach. This is a masterpiece that has finally made me relate to my reality (the life I’ve been living everyday), accept who I am and begin to love myself. I am so glad Jessica wrote this book in my lifetime and it has reached me. Her little assurances throughout the book of being there for the reader as they are going through this journey is a calming presence and a game changer. I would recommend everyone with an anxious attachment style to read this book. It will change your life.
