I was relieved to find these RGB LEDs worked perfectly out of the box. They were easy to set up and the remote works flawlessly. I used the included double-sided tape which has worked so far. If, or when, it fails, I'll just replace with some 3M. I like these much better than the rechargeable ones since I don't have to hassle with battery life and recharging. I don't understand the complaints about the light intensity. It has intensity settings on the remote and they can get pretty bright! I love the options for extending the length between lights using the extension wires or alternatively hooking them together without the extensions. Very convenient! Also love the little wire anchors. Although I didn't use them, I may later. Also like the slim profile and light spread of illumination. They throw light well and colors are vibrant. I was trying to find something negative about these lights but, honestly, for the price, the value is very good. Maybe I lucked out with the set I got! Will likely order additional sets..

These lights work exactly as described and just like I had hoped. I needed lights for under my computer monitors for when I work into the wee hours so I can see my non-backlit keyboard, notes, etc. These lights allow me to turn off the overhead light in my home office and leave the door open without light from the office seeping into the bedrooms while my family sleeps. What I like most about these lights is that they are just the right amount of late-night brightness (and can be dimmed), but more importantly, they can be color-shifted to a warmer shade of white (2700K), which my eyes appreciate as well as my body for when it's finally time for me to turn in. Installation was very easy and straight-forward. The directions say to not connect the lights when installing but I did anyway, as I needed to make sure they were spaced the correct distance. They come with all the installation materials you need, including screws & brackets for mounting into wood and ~2" double-sided foam tape strips, two strips per light, which is what I opted to use as I was attaching them to the underside of my 2 monitors. The remote adds a lot of nice functionality, including adjusting the brightness in small increments as well as quick settings for the various color modes (plus on-off too). The only thing I need to figure out is the attached switch, which apparently acts as a receiver for the remote. Currently, it is dangling from my primary monitor; I need a more elegant solution. Overall, this was a 5-star product for me.

Rec'd and installed today [March 17]. Need small phillip's screw driver. Straight forward install. No instructions needed. Remote works perfectly. I'd gladly pay a dollar or two more for a kit that had sturdier shiny clips [aluminum?]. Like everything about these units except the "cheap" clips [or how the plastic lamp connects to the clip]. Colors are great and has enough lumens for my basement "needs". The manufacturer could easily design/implement a better clip-to-plastic connection.

My kid loves these they are a great value and can get really bright! The remote works great the sound mode works just fine. I haven’t noticed these producing any heat . The adhesive tape makes install very easy.

I bought these to be mounted on my display shelves for 3d prints. To say I'm disappointed with these is an understatement.First of all, there is no white light at all. There is one in the product page and pictures AND the remote but in reality it is an extremely weird and unpleasant shade of blue.They are not very bright, I have battery operated light bats that are much brighter than these and don't have to be plugged in.All the colors they produce are just off. It's almost as if they didn't use the right diodes or something. They just look bad and nothing like any other led I used.The adhesive pads started failing after 30 minutes and clean and degreased surface.The power brick cable is not long enough and is shorter than advertised.I got rid of boxes because I never expected LED can be this bad so I cannot return them.
