Is there a way to remove them after being on for a week or so? It’s a wonderful product, don’t get me wrong but I personally don’t like having tabs.

I don’t think they could be removed. However, it would probably depend on thickness and durability of paper they are attached to.

My tabs smell very strongly like mildew almost. Has anyone else had this issue? I tried wiping them off and airing them out but the smell remains.

No my tabs did not have a smell.

Do the tabs make the edge of the bible thinker than the spine?

No, I did not experience that. I followed the tab suggestions and it did not cause that issue. The only way I can see that happening is if you stack them all in the same exact order on top of each other.
