Don't use the cheap plastic "nails" that come with it. They're just oversized thumb tacks that break easily. I just grabbed some of my tiny nails that I have and nailed it into place. Can't see them as they blend in and they hold it up perfectly. It is very heavy. If you have two people to put this up, it will definitely help. The curtain is thick and well made. We have had it for several months now and it shows no sign of wear. Which is fantastic as we have a busy household and other curtains we have tried hanging in the past all fell apart within a few months. There is definitely a huge difference between the house and laundry room that has the backdoor. House is much cooler in the summer, and much warmer in the winter. Though it can be a little difficult to do laundry when it's either 100 or 0 degrees in there. But saving on the power bill and keeping the rest of the house comfortable is absolutely worth it. Also, the magnets are very strong. They snap back shut very easily. Though they do require some force to open them back up. Which shows you how good they are.

There is a section of my two-story house that is off of the main heating system, though the two rooms there have baseboard heaters. We don't really use those rooms, but during our winter bathroom renovations, the contractors put our toilet in one of those rooms to be able to more easily work on other parts of the bathroom. Since we're in the upper Midwest, this meant heating that room a bit was necessary, but we know that section of the house is not well insulated and didn't want to drain our money heating the whole area. This curtain is amazing and did its job well. On one side of the curtain, a dish of water I left out to test the hallway's chill ended up completely frozen to solid ice in a couple of hours. On the other side of the curtain, it was a nice and cozy temperature. It also works as a nice sound insulator: the tile guy put his wet saw in that room and unless he left the curtain open, the sound was definitely less intense. Only real downsides to this are: * The adhesive is not great. Part of the wall we used it on is brick, so we couldn't make use of the included tacks there. If your wall or ceiling is largely made of something difficult to put a nail or screw into, don't depend on this adhesive alone to help. The Velcro itself, however, is quite strong (much stronger than the adhesive—tugging on the Velcro will peel the curtain off the wall unless it is secured with tacks or nails). * The adhesive was also a bit tricky to peel and kept sticking onto the sides of the protective backing/release liner. Peeling somewhat slowly was helpful, but not enough to prevent the issue from reoccurring. For me, those were minor inconveniences compared to the benefits of this product overall.

I was super skeptical since this is so inexpensive and there weren’t really reviews on it, but I have a heavy hard to move bedroom door and I was about to get surgery on both of my wrists which meant I wouldn’t be able to do anything with my hands for at least a couple weeks. I was panicking trying to find a solution short of just not having any bedroom door when I thought about looking for a magnetic curtain so I could just basically walk into it and it’d open and close behind me. And it could not have been a better problem solution! The whole middle has magnets the whole way down and they do easily let you walk through without using your hands and it re-closes right after you walk through it. It comes with super super strong mounting tape with a wicked strong Velcro backing to tape the backing to the wall or door frame and then attach the curtain’s outer Velcro sides and it absolutely strongly holds. They send you a little box of what seem like really strong industrial push pins to push through the Velcro sides to ensure a super strong hold….this was a huge game changer for my surgery recovery I know I would’ve been absolutely miserable had I not gotten it. My cats were able to quickly figure out to just slip right through under the end of the mats a couple inches above the floor without any problems.( I was worried they weren’t big enough to break through the magnets) And for an extra bonus, this curtain insulates the air conditioning in my bedroom WAY better than my old door did. I was shocked when I came back to my room after not being in her for several hours and assuming most of the cold air escaped through the curtain but I was completely wrong, it was so nice and perfectly cold in here! And I’m sure it’ll do the same thing with heat too. If you have hand injuries, or a tight sPace for your door to swing open or you just idk don’t like opening and closing heavy doors-get this!! You definitely won’t regret it

I was skeptical. My house faces the west and I live in the south so the summer sun beating on the front of the house makes my ac run nonstop from noon til 3am. My cats have scratched the weather strip off the bottom of the front door as well so a lot of heat (and cold air in the winter) was coming in. I wasn’t sure this door curtain would make much of a difference but it has made a HUGE difference!! My ac still runs as much but the hallway doesn’t get as hot and I do feel it definitely adds the extra insulation. It was pretty easy to install and the adhesive & Velcro are both strong. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish they had an option for white Velcro instead of black because I want to take this down when the weather is more mild and I don’t want to have to look at the black strip around the door frame but I also don’t want to rip it off and repaint every summer & winter either because I will use this in both seasons.

كنت جدا اعاني من الغبار ومياه الأمطار بحكم ان غرفتي في السطح لكن هذا المنتج حل الموضوع. مميزاته يحجب الشمس ويمنع دخول الغبار بنسبة كبيرة لكن مش بشكل تام طبعا ويمنع دخول مياه الامطار. تركيبه جدا سهل يجي فيه لصقة ومسامير صغيرة عشان تثبتها. انصح فيه

Does what the descriptions say. Looks nice. Measurements are accurate as well, I got 41x84 inches but my measuring tape might be off. Take your time when installing it (follow instructions carefully!), there isn't much extra velcro tape if you mess up, just enough to do the door frame once pretty much, the inside of my doorframe is 33x80 inches. My door trim isn't flat which I was concerned about but the velcro tape stuck well and is holding. It very much helps hold the heat in a room which is why I bought it. Between this and plastic insulation on the window frames: what a difference! The velcro tape will definitely rip paint off the wall if/when it comes down, it's very sticky. My cat was able to figure it out quickly as well. Put the kitty one one side and shook the treat bag on the other, opened it slowly by hand the first time to show him that it opens then he started pushing it open with his paws and face, no problem. Took 5 mins and a few treats.
