Beautiful and traditional candlewick bedspread. Lovely muted cornflower blue and generous in size. Ordered double for high Victorian bedstead with very deep mattress and base - the bedspread almost reaches the floor either side and has plenty of excess length to cover two lofty pillows each side, or pillows plus bolster. Beautifully made and excellent quality. Far superior to previous similar purchases, from other suppliers. Washes in Miele machine on cotton at 30o with 1000 rev spin. Dry flat on ceiling airer, or drying rack over Aga, or in a warm room. Highly recommend this product.

Just what I remembered candlestick bedspread to be like as a kid, soft, warm and pleasingly old fashioned. What I didn't know was how much more hoovering I have to do. And thats after I washed it !

So soft and cosy but light and airy. Reminds me of my childhood, nearly everyone had a candlewick spread.

Got this to put on our spare bed which our cat "owns" as long as we don't have any guests staying over. As she has long hair, she makes such a mess on any blanket or duvet cover we leave on the bed. This bedspread, however, is brilliant as it covers the whole of the kingsize bed all the way to the floor and looks good too. It washes well and all the dust and fur is easily removed.

I like it and it's thick and warm but it sheds little bits everywhere.
