Just got this hat so have not worn it yet. A few things notice right away: 1) hat bill is off kilter from center stitching. Saw this complaint on several other reviews too (quality issue?) 2) my wide forehead feels tight with the headband/bill shape 3) just measured vs my other favorite cap and brim width is about 1/2in smaller on the ankor… so looks a misproportioned for big headed person like me 4) surprised was shipped in soft bag (dent left in front dome, will see if comes out after wash) Will wear it some (maybe breaking in will resolve the shape/fit issues) but for sure some of my other hats like Quicksilver felt like more Quality fit out of the box. Or may give it to my kid due to the smaller brim size. But based on initial impression - wouldn’t recommend.

Love this hat, so much so that I ended up buying a second! The fit is great. It’s lightweight and it’s I better deal when you compare to a more expensive brand that is just like this.

I have these hats in multiple colors. They keep their form. No salt stains from sweaty heads. Breeze well. I’m a hat enthusiast. These are well-made.

Not a bad hat and it's true they dont show stains.. I have a dark Grey and a light Grey and both have held up for a year from a quality standpoint. I went with a 4 but considered a 3. In texas its hot and they get soaked with sweat whether outside or at the gym and they smell musty like many synthetic fiber gum clothes after time. I have hand washed soaked..used vinegar..baking soda..you name it. At this point I just toss them in the washer and let them air dry. They seem to hold up fine but while they come out fresh.. whithin a couple days the smell musty again. So at the end of the day I could have bought several less expensive hats and would have been no worse off at a minimum.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I was on the fence about buying this and I looked at the more expensive Salt Mafia hats and figured this was a good dupe and I was right. It fits great, its definitely water resistant and dries quickly. It held up on a 6 day beach trip and still looks brand new. I've washed it once in the washer and it held its shape and still looks new.
