50 Shades of Fashion
Oh my god. I loved it. I'mNot going to lie. I was expecting to be entertained with a fair bit of eye rolling but I absolutely loved it. I read it from cover to cover today. I was so surprised to be so drawn in to the characters. Oliver's vulnerability from the opening chapter had me championing him the entire way through. What surprised me the most was how relatable people were in the book (albeit far better dressed) Their insecurities, their highs and lows, their arrogance and their loyalties. It shows how human nature prevails no matter how big their yachts or jets. It was laugh out loud funny in parts not to mention heart rendering in other.s. What I loved most about it was you were all of a sudden invested in the human element of the story and the fabulousness was the icing. Congratulations Gavin. Genuinely. I sincerely hope people read it. XxxxPs.... I've a hangover just reading about the booze....

At times hilariously funny - but some times quite sad and poignant
I must say - Diary of an IT Boy - proved to be a real rollercoaster of a read! At times hilariously funny - but some times quite sad and poignant. As it tracks it central character Olli's escapades, you really get drawn into the various scenarios he gets involved in. There are laugh out loud moments mixed with the dangers of drug use and the lows of love affairs that go wrong.I believe its a debut novel ? - I must say I hope there is a book 2!I conclude by saying DOAIB could make a great TV series ! Hello Netflix dahling! !!

This was like the ‘Fashion Babylon’ of Dublin’s high society party scene
Wow. This was like the ‘Fashion Babylon’ of Dublin’s high society party scene. A scene that I knew was there but was never part of, but really interesting to explore through the protagonists viewpoint. Fast paced, witty, funny and at some points really sad :( An excellent read.If you lived in Dublin/London in the 90s, read this book! You’ll love it.If you haven’t, but want to read a rollercoaster of fashion, men, high society, alcohol and drugs, read this book!!

A rollicking good read... made me laugh and made me cry
Totally recommend this debut novel by Gavin Lambe-Murphy. He takes the reader on an epic journey through the chaos of late 90s and early naughties partying. I couldn’t put it down.
