For the price it’s decent quality and great looking. Took 2 hours to assemble. Drawer handled don’t fit screws well to make them tight. Othwerise fantastic for price.

Pros: almost everything. The material isn’t the most expensive, but this is a well manufactured version of an affordable desk. It’s sturdy. The drawers assembled well. They open and close nicely, and they sit level with each other. They also hold a surprising amount. I’m very glad I bought these desks. I’d absolutely recommend them. I will say that the metal tabs on the long bars weren’t quite right for assembly as instructed. I advise assembling the whole of the metal leg part and /then/ screwing it to the upper desk part. Or insert a washer between the tabs and the wooden parts where they screw in. Else, the front and back long, metal bar pieces want to tilt inward, making it impossible to attach the sides.

This has to be the hardest thing I have ever put together . It literally took all day. I’m giving it three stars because of it. It is cute. Looks nice. The video was very helpful more so than the instructional

First let me start by saying this was a purchase I would not have made on my own, as it doesn’t necessarily fit the solid wood, heavy, 150 year-old construction that I’m used to. Let’s face it, you’re not gonna find that type of beauty on Amazon (they’re called antique for a reason). This desk surprised me. It was heavy enough. I don’t exactly deadlift 50+ pounds in my spare time now so to me this had some heft to it. The metal railings look nice, though the “gold” color was a bit off-putting at first (I’m an antique lover, remember). The overall appearance is decent and I was kinda pleased once I FINALLY got this joker together. (Queue my only con) The metal railings that attach to the base of the desk make it HARD to attach the legs afterwards. If you follow the directions, you’re supposed to attach the 2 long railings AND THEN attach the legs. The only problem is, the areas that hold the bolt to the desk are welded inward, so the entire rail sits at a good 80 degree tilt in, when it should be a flush 90 degree angle. If you attach the legs after attaching the rail to the desk YOU WILL FIGHT (and cuss, and threaten to “send that ish back”) because the holes for the legs won’t line up. Do like the last reviewer and attach the legs FIRST and THEN attach the whole thing to the desk. I ended up doing that (after 35 whole minutes of struggling when my memory finally kicked in) and it came together very easily. Overall it’s a nice desk that I only partially regret buying. Had the assembly been better I would give it a gold star (get it? GOLD star!!), but…silver isn’t bad. You obviously like the look, because you scrolled alllll the way to read the reviews. Get it, gather your drill, screwdriver, something to drink and a good movie, you’ll be done in no time.

The desk does not piece together. The drawers are crooked due to the drawer tracks being bent. Metal frame is bent at attachment pieces. Save your money. 4 hours to put together completely wasted.

Looks nice and it is sturdy. Good value for money. One person can put it together. But it is hard to put together, if you are not used to putting together this kind of furniture, which is my case.Took me hours. Need time, patience and lots of common sense. Written instructions are minimal. Mostly detailed drawings. I used 2 manual star screwdrivers as there are screws of different sizes. The instructions don't recommend electric tools. Make sure your screws are straight and don't tighten them too much, in case you need to undo them so they all align. The lock screws are not easy to remove if you make a mistake. So, make sure you do the parts with the lock screws carefully. You can divide the assembly into 3 parts: 1. The large wooden part - top of the desk 2. The metal parts 3. The drawers The first part is the most detailed and it takes a bit of time. I struggled a bit at the start, but after a while I got the hang of it. It is just quite time-consuming. As long as your screws are straight, they should align nicely. The wood is quite soft, so if your screws are not straight, you can undo them slightly and straighten them carefully. There is a spare screw for each type. They are clearly marked. The metal section does not take long but it is tricky. The instructions are wrong.You must put the metal parts together first and then attach them to the wooden section. If you follow instructions in that bit, attaching the railings first and then the legs, you won't be able to attach the legs, because these bits don't align completely. So, you attach the legs to the railings first. Even tough the metal bits don't align completely, it's still possible to put it together and it is still a stable and sturdy desk.
