Is this the exynos cpu or the snapdragon?

It really does not matter, both CPUs are good. Snapdragon is for USA market Only. Everywhere else gets Exynos.

Is there any benefit in getting the single sim over the dual sim. Is the dual sim replaced with any features ?

If you have a genuine need for using 2 SIM's in one phone, go for the Dual SIM. If not, don't. The second SIM can be inserted in the slot of the micro SD card so you can't have 2 SIM's and a memory card, but most importantly, if you have 2 active SIM's, you'll probably notice a difference in the battery life vs using 1 SIM or a single SIM phone.
