Smooth-On SIL-poxy Rubber Silicone Adhesive - 10 Gram Single Use Tear-Tab

Sustained a 1/4” cut on a very expensive 7 1/2” toy due to a too tight o ring. Applied enough to fill the cut, wiped off excess and let dry overnight. Can’t even see the cut now. Needless to say very pleased.Replacing it would have been very costly.

I have a very expensive silicone Halloween mask ($1000) and the corner of the mouth started to tear. This product fixed the problem with ease. Would definitely buy again if needed.

Very useful under the perfect circumstances

I was attempting to repair two platinum silicone rings, medium thickness that failed where most do—at the seam where they come together (is there a reason these are not poured as a single piece?) I just wanted to see if the SilPoxy would join the two ends. I thought expecting the glue to hold not only at rest, but also as the joint was stressed and stretched was too much to expect. I thought I prepped the area(s) well. Washed and let the rings dry thoroughly, then went over each one with a lint free hand towel dampened with some 91% alcohol. I applied enough SilPoxy to cover the surface to be joined, but not so much that the surfaces couldn’t touch. I knew I was in trouble right away. The edges of the breaks were not perfectly straight and no material was lost, so the joint fit together flawlessly. If this were crazy glue and plastic, you would have never found the original break. But even as I tried to set the rings down to dry, I could already tell nothing was holding.the next morning both rings came apart as I lifted them off the table. I’m looking back to see if i missed something in the instructions and like I said, I will try it again soon.

I purchased this adhesive to avoid replacing the silicone band on my Garmin exercise tracker. Two slots were damaged. A crosspiece between slots had torn off on one side and the side of the slot below it had begun to tear. I printed an instruction sheet from the website, cleaned the area to be bonded as directed and let it dry before attempting the bond while my tracker was charging, ensuring that the bonded areas were tight for a minute and then putting the repaired band on my wrist utilizing a looser slot after the tracker finished charging. I should have let it cure for 24 hours as directed, but both bonds held with no problems weeks later. Since the manufacturer highlighted that the adhesive in the tube would dry very quickly once exposed to the air, I used a small screwdriver head to dip out the quantity I needed and immediately close the tube. This method seemed to prevent any issues with the glue the next time I used it. It seems to work better than advertised and I can't ask for better than that.

A little pricey bc the tube is SMALL!! However, it literally only takes a minuscule amount to work magic (depending on how big the damaged area is of course), so it will last for a very long time.My daughter got a new silicone baby for Christmas. She loves this baby beyond words and treats her as her very own real baby. One of her fingers got ripped off from a toddling great nephew. With the help of SIL-Poxy, she is practically good as new!! It couldn’t be done perfectly bc of the type of tear (it wasn’t a smooth rip) but this stuff did exactly what it was supposed to and did it well!

Bonds with silicone seemingly as well as if it were part of the original casting. Allowed me to make structural changes to a a silicone mask strong enough to change how the mask responds to my facial expressions...excellent stuff. I would have left five stars if it weren’t so overpriced. But it works very, very well.p.s. It does have a powerful oder, so follow the directions, use it in a well-ventilated place, and don’t get too close when you unscrew the cap...keep it away from your nose and mouth. And screw the cap back on immediately every time...it sets very quickly.

I didn't think there was anything that would stick to silicone like this does. I just didn't think it was even possible until I tried this Sil-poxy.

I was hesitant to buy this to repair some moulds but it holds up surprisingly wellThe price is a pretty big barrier but it saves me buying the moulds again
