Ghirardelli 100% Unsweetened Wafers, 5lb bag with Ghirardelli Stamped Barista Spoon

I had been buying a much more expensive 100% cacao product, but tried this one, with excellent results. I melt a few discs in a cup of mildly sweetened strong coffee or espresso to create a sipping chocolate. Result is smooth, rich, and delicious. Reasonable price for a high quality product!

The aroma when I opened the bag was absolutely wonderful - the disks are almost completely uniform and fresh. The smell was so enticing, I immediately popped one in my mouth (and instantly regretted it - they are unsweetened after all).I've used them with stevia sweetener and milk to make sugar-free hot chocolate, brownies which were great, and some triple chocolate cookies which were excellent. Hopefully these will last through the winter and I will definitely buy again.

These extra tiny chocolate chips are awesome. I don't know why I didn't realize they were smaller than the mini chips you usually see packaged for consumer use. I love baking with these. Not so good for my waistline is that the smell is so alluring---I can't help from eating a few on their own every time I open my container of them. The spoon you get is a nice touch, too. Love the Ghirardelli stamp on it.

Tastes good, but not quite as good as Trader Joe's Pound Plus 72% cacao, and it costs a lot more, but it has much lower lead levels.

My wife just loves chocolate, is there any woman who doesn't? I have used these in various receipes and they always turn out great.

They are so tiny, it means they melt very fast, and they taste just right. Made hot chocolate with them and some cocoa, it is very good for hot drinks.
