Good & Sturdy Gate
Great gate & sturdy. As grandparents we got this gate when we need to watch our grandchildren and for use above the basement stairs. It works very well, the key is in addition to pressing the latch to unlock the gate, is to lift the gate up at the hinge end to smoothly open and close the gate. We are fortunate to be able to anchor the hinges and the latches into solid studs. I opted to not use the provided screws, but to use longer 2" screws to attached both the hinges and the latches. The extra length of the screws compensates for the hinge and latch thickness and drywall depth. The hardest part was to align the latches after attaching the hinge end. There is "some" play in the alignment but not much, and the sticky tape on the back of the latches that should hold them in place until you screw them into the wall does not work well at all. Easy solution is to apply a higher quality double sided tape to hold them in place until screwed in. Be prepared that in the event your walls aren't exactly square that you'll have to shim out one of the latches. They include 4 plastic washers for the purposes intended, not great looking after using but functional.

Super for Puppy
This is outstanding! Having a gate that you don't have to step over is the only gate to have! Installation was super easy. What is terrible: the safety stickers on the gate. The are two stickers one that is bright orange and one that is white. The bright orange glued on sticker is an eyesore. Both stickers should be made into hang tags. Thank you.

Pretty good but...
The gate is easy enough to install, but forget about using hollow wall fasteners on the hinge side. There is simply too much torque and pressure required to ift and open the gate for them to work. I ended up buying some toggle style hollow wall fasteners and only time will tell. If these don't work, I will reverse the hinge side to get into a stud. Also, while this can be opened with one hand, it is difficult and applies more torque to the hinge mount. I recommend using two hands and lifting on the hinge side.

Amazing seller and item
Had an issue with first item, but seller is amazing! I will absolutely recommend this seller to everyone. Replacement item they sent for free is working perfectly! I think the first was a fluke, because the second is so perfect and lasting really well. Please please buy, it holds up against my 120lbs German Shepard with no issues.

Highly recommend.
I really like this!Purchased to keep the dogs out of where they don't belong.I like the extra height.Best for tall, older people, so bending isn't needed.Easier to put together with a drill. The lift, after the gate latch is released, can be a challenge.Just make sure the bottom of the opening side isn't placed to fit all the way in.I didn't like the directions, but I can build via pictures, and rocked that out in no time.Use the spacer as you deem for height, due to door handle placement.I'll be purchasing 1 or 2 more!

Great buy!
Exactly what we were looking for. The first gate we bought and put at the top of our staircase had a bar across the bottom of it and it was terrifying stepping over it and down to the first step. That one also had panels on the sides making the opening you walk through smaller. We like how wide this opens - it’s like it isn’t even there because it goes flat against the wall and there are no objects obstructing the path. Great buy!

Installation involves lots of guesswork. Operation depends on touchy installation adjustments.
Instructions are utterly inadequate -- both for installation and for operation. Oh, sure, the operation is simple enough. But it would kind of help to know BEFORE you install it, that it operates by you squeezing the button AND lifting upwards. It makes a difference in installation. (And it may make a difference in you choice to buy or not.) But the installation instructions are wholly inadequate: incomplete, leave a ton for you to guess at, and don't bother to mention the most important part. (Which is that the entire gate will fit & operate within its wall brackets by tiny adjustments to the clamps that hold the two gate sections in place. A little lift here, a little press there, tighten it down, and ... it either works or doesn't. If not, rinse & repeat.)

Does what it sets out to do, but a couple of minor issues
I've been using this for about 3 months now and am overall pleased. I'm using it as a gate for the stairs that lead to my front door (I live in a split level) to prevent my dog from dashing out the front door and it's worked well so far. I like that it is adjustable and extends across the entire width of the stair opening (as opposed to other gates that have side-panels and a narrower opening in the middle) and that there is no bar at the bottom (trip hazard). There are a couple of areas for improvement:1) Opening the gate is a rather fussy process. You have to press down and then pull up and then swing it open. I still find myself unintentionally yanking harder than is necessary, because otherwise you risk not unlatching it cleanly. I'm not sure why it can't be a simpler design as in other gates where you just press down on the button to unlatch. Maybe that wouldn't be stable enough for a one-piece design such as this, I don't know, but it's a bit annoying.2) Partly due to issue #1 (having to yank on the gate to get it open), if you install this into drywall the included drywall screws/anchors are pretty useless. I used them the first few weeks and they came loose every few days, causing the gate to subtly separate from the wall and thus not shut until I re-tightened the screws. I finally just ordered some drywall toggles and once I installed those the problem was essentially solved. They should absolutely be included with the gate.So it's not perfect, but overall I'm satisfied.
