Realeather Crafts Suede Trim Piece 8.5 x 11-inch, Medium Brown, Leather, Black, 3-4oz

Finally used this piece of suede leather to make a traveller's notebook, having figured a way to make the spine work. Very pleased with the quality of leather and pleased that I could find what I needed.

Nice soft leather.

Spaltleder (Fleischspalt od. unterer Spalt) auch Spaltvelours oder Veloursleder oder mit dem Oberbegriff Rauleder bezeichnet. Beidseitig rau. Stärke 1,1 - 1,2 mm. Tatsächliche Größe war 21,6 x 27,6 cm.

My wife and I are taking ballroom dance lessons. Unfortunately, she fractured a toe and cannot use her dance shoes. I bought the suede to glue to the sole of some old sneakers. It works really well and now she can practice.

Really nice quality of suede leather that will be ideal for making thimbles for sewing, which I will be teaching some kids to do. The reverse side of it seems soft enough for this purpose, at least as one would expect for such a thing. The color of it is spot-on and consistent marbling, too. Were it not for this project that is coming up, these would make awesome zip cases, wallets, and any number of other accessories. I cannot yet speak toward the stamp ability of it, but just to say I think it is thick enough to accept that process. It’s not so thick that I don’t think we cannot pierce it with an awl for sewing it up with blunt leather needles and waxed thread. I am seriously hoping some is left over after this project, for the kids to use for making zip case zipper tabs with them.
