Excellent Product
I had purchased a Litter Robot 4 that gave me constant problems from the very first week. After several frustrating rounds of troubleshooting and customer service chats, I sent the thing back and purchased this Petkit litterpan instead. It has worked perfectly and I am thrilled with this purchase. The litter waste capacity is very good and the bags are reasonably priced considering how many you get and the large capacity they hold. There are probably other bag options that might work, but I am happy with the Petkit ones. They are sized to fit and have a drawstring closure. The noise level is also very subtle and does not disturb me at all.I did not buy the extra scent spray attachment, but do use the N50 cubes in the waste compartment. There has been no problem at all with odors. I do use Slide litter which has good odor control by itself and works very well for keeping the inside of the device clean. In contrast, Litter Robot looked dirty all the time with debris spots left on the inside surface liner. The shape of the rotating drum is also better in that it is a cylinder and the cat litter is a fairly large rectangular bed in the bottom. Litter Robot was shaped like a ball so the litter bed was a smaller circular shape that was easier to "miss", hence the extra debris spots.I was not at all thrilled with the set up process that required me to get my smart phone and scan multiple QR codes in order to get access to online instructions. I hate QR codes! Is it really asking too much to at least provide a printed Quick Start Guide in the box? Ugh! But at least the codes worked and I was able to set it up with only minimal swearing.I'm also not loving the app in general It feels more oriented toward selling me additional products than giving me any useful information in an easy to find format. It needs to be much more intuitive and oriented toward information about the product I already bought and my cats usage of it. Litter Robot was much better in that regard. But the bottom line is that the litterpan itself functions perfectly and does exactly what I bought it to do. So it still rates 5 stars and a wild happy dance from me!

A year later, glad to throw this in the trash.
Edited a year later... I just threw this piece of trash away. One, this litter box will constantly say it's "in use" by your pet when it's not. This prevents you from cleaning, filling, or performance of any maintenance because the machine will freeze and refuse all commands until it thinks the nonexistent cat is gone. They put the cat presence sensor under where the cats enter. So it gets filthy and stops working. Heck, I found out a bright ceiling light will trip the stupid sensor. The software is garbage. The directions don't even mention the side hood being removable and how to go about getting the robot arm unstuck, which will happen when a clump of litter gets in there...which is literally every time the machine dumps clumps to the collection bin.Today I couldn't get the machine to stop insisting a cat was present while attempting to add litter. The power cycle workaround wasn't working, cleaning the sensor window wasn't helping... I had enough and threw it in the garbage. In short, I do not need a machine fighting me at every turn when trying to scoop poop. I have no desire to spend my time digging in dirty robot parts trying to get the stupid thing to stop insisting some facet of itself is not right so it'll run again. This machine is a frustrating, poorly designed, box that'll really increase the time it takes to clean a pan. I don't need that. Good riddance. This is my first robot litter box. It took me a long time to order a robot like this, as they cost so much - and it's a litter pan. But I did it, and this one is data fancy and that's nice. The unit has weight sensors on all four corners which are used to monitor your pets usage. The app does a surprisingly good job - for a pretty janky app - of not only functioning, but displaying cat usage data. You can track litter use, multiple cat weights and their usage - there's graphs and a good amount of granularity. The box itself is nice, very very quiet, and seems easy to use so far (after 2 weeks of use). It's big enough inside for my tabby, who is a big long cat - he needs room.
